We are planning a stay at POP later this year, and remember from the last time we stayed there (way before the Art of Animation buildings were finished and they were going to be a part of POP), that that the two areas were to be connected via Hourglass lake. Is that the case? Can we walk from one resort to the other? Any info and/or pictures of the area would be wonderful.

TIA!! :goodvibes

Not only is there a bridge, but when we were there at Christmas, we found you could drive a circle around the perimeter of both. In fact, if you are in the LM section of AoA, at least one of the buildings is closer to Pop main bldg than AoA main bldg.

Yes, there is a bridge that connections the two Resorts. We stayed in AoA a few weeks ago and, on a few occasions, took the bus to POP and walked across it. A quick 5 minute walk from lobby to lobby.

Does anyone have any recent pictures around Hourglass Lake? Would love to show DD, as she is counting down the days (and the last time we were at POP she was too young to remember it).

TIA! :goodvibes

Generation Gap Bridge(known for years as "The Bridge To Nowhere!) FINALLY opened EARLY on May 31,2012!:)

It was so amazing to be one of the first Guests to walk across it after seeing it incompleted for so many years!:)

Your daughter will have so much fun. Be sure to show her AoA it is so beautiful so many statues and some Cars buildings. You cannot go into them but are so much fun to look at.

I am starting to regret my choice of ASmovies for our weekend getaway this coming Sept.
