Arson at Palin's church

I haven't seen anything about Palin's church being set ablaze by arsonists on here.

If Obama's church had been attacked I'm sure there would be lots of threads. Of course there would be lots of media coverage too. With Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton making me ashamed that I am the same species as they are, as usual.

Just sayin'.

Yes, it's a terrible thing.

I do see some difference in a newly elected president and a governor, though. I would think one would get more coverage than the other.

That's terrible. I do agree that a President-elect is likely to get more press coverage but it's horrible whoever it is.

It's a disgruntled local. If it's someone who hated Palin doing it, it makes no sense to me. I may not agree with a lot of churches or people who go there, but other than the Westboro Baptist Church I can't think of any church that should be damaged in any way.

Yes, it was the front page of the WaPo today, too. The police this morning said they are treating it as "suspicious." I wasn't aware (but I haven't read anything since this morning) that it was definitely ruled "arson."

I don't care if it's a governor, mayor, the President, or your next-door neighbor- arson in ANY situation is a horrible crime. Though of course if it had been something relating to Obama everyone would have freaked out...

Never mind poor Sarah and the rest of the congregation losing their church, it's much more productive to bash others for not being sufficiently vocal about it. Nothing from the OP about what a shame it is, just some cheap shots at Obama supporters.

I think it's abominable when any church is attacked, for ANY reason. There's a small place in hell for these people.

It's a horrible act, and how scary for all in the congregation. Thank God that nobody was hurt. I hope ther person(s) responsible are punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I hope every one at Ms. Palins church is ok and they know their building was burned down but their church is wherever they are.

The point of the OP was that the "liberal media" and by extension the DIS community board is giving less airtime to arson at Palin's church than it would be if arson had taken place at Obama's church.

Fake outrage at how people are so mean to Palin they aren't even rushing to the DIS boards to express their distress when her church burns down. LIke she even reads this board.
