This is so frustrating!!!

My bank is telling me Disney only has an authorization for $250, not a purchase.

Disney is telling me they have an authorization from my bank for $500 and it's been taken out.

What do I do?

I just want to balance my account out properly.

In case you missed it yesterday, my debit/credit card that I charged this to on Friday was compromised so I had to close the account.
 
contest it I suppose. If they can't prove you didn't authorize it, you can't be expected to pay it.
 
Boom man.. you cannot catch a break with this. Sorry to hear about all this.

I hate the debit card system in the United States. Its too 'loose' for my tastes when it comes to nailing stuff down.

What ticks me off is Disney was authorized to take out $500 when I only made a deposit of $250. But because Visa autorized them to take $500, that's what they're taking.

Getting my card number stolen was bad enough. Disney playing their stupid games is just making things worse.
 

I hope you have gone down to the bank in person and talked to the bank manager who can go over your account and sort this out with you. You would be able to find out want is outstanding and what has been paid even if the account is closed. Hope you get this resolved...it can be trying. Best of luck to you,

I went down to the bank yesterday.

Person A I spoke with gave me one scenario. Person B I spoke with this morning told me something else. Person C I just got off the phone with gave me another version. I swear, the bank and Disney must have the same training manager.

It's all in regards to the money I'm waiting Disney to take out. Sadly, all I can do is wait for them to take it out. If it's not taken out by tomorrow, I'm going to call Disney and tell them to cancel the reservation. All I want is a resolution - Either take it out or don't. Don't sit on it anymore. I understand that's the normal procedure, but I need to know what's in my account.

In the meantime, I'll just assume they're taking out the $500 so I don't overdraw my account.
 
Boom, does this mean you finally got the code applied to your reservation? Or is this for something else?
 
Last week when I went to pay off my balance Disney double charged me (I was using a credit card, not debit). It took them a little over 24 hours to remove the extra charge. They had originally told me it could take up to 3 days, but it didn't take that long. I know this is different from your situation, but thought it might make you feel better knowing Disney does tend to get these things resolved.

Now the big question..... Did you get the discount?
 
Nope - Didn't get the discount. Gave up on that last week.

Honestly, it's OK with me that they did it. I was gonna pay the whole thing off within a couple of weeks anyways. I just wish they could tell me YES or NO, one way or the other.
