Arrrgh! Missed a DING!

I was watching religiously, then went away for the weekend with no internet access. My dream DING for late August came over the weekend. Now many of the flights are showing unavailable! Is it possible that they are now filled with DINGers? Should I hold out hope for another one in the next few weeks? I have three different airports to choose from, so I do have some flexibility, but I don't want to book and get a credit, since we may not be flying within the next year? What to do?

Was it a PVD or Manchester ding? I don't remember seeing a PVD ding but then all lower-priced flights for 9/3 return are now higher. I think they continually play with the loads. I have seen unavailable become available many times!

The PVD Ding was on Thursday, so you're right, it wasn't over the weekend.

I too, have seen unavailable become available. But it may be too close for comfort to your travel date. For a trip this past April, I changed us from BDL to ALB to save $100 p.p. When I first made the change, only 2 seats were available, so I booked the third only realizing a $10savings. About a month before our travel date (and repeatedly for a couple weeks, BDL_MCO had dings and then finally ALB-MCO had a ding that allowed me to save $100 on our third ticket. Good luck. I think a discount may come along, but it's likely to be nerve wracking. Also, if you're trying to fly down and back on a weekend, that might not open up as much as midweek travel.

Yeah, it was a PVD Ding! Was it really Thursday? What the **&*& could I have been doing that was more important? Correcting essays probably .
Last year in late July, we got a 49 Ding! for Manchester for August which is also doable from where we are, so I think I am going to live on the edge a little while longer. The 64 PVD Ding just came through today, but it is for 8 AM-- we'd lose the whole last day. We are already at 59 for the way down, so I'm happy about that.
