Booked thru AAA and at the last minute my parents and sister booked a package with us. Problem is FP+ shows my parents have an acct they manage (they don't) so it's not letting us set FP+ times for them with our existing ones. My sister does have an acct so she linked hers and is fine.

My question is- for each person who has a fp+ Time, is that them plus 1 more like traditional fast passes were? If so, it's fine because we have 5 adults, and 3 individual people who have the same registered FP+ times so we technically could ride "6" riders, right?

My impression is that everyone over the age of 3 must have their own FP+ Reservation. Your parents must have set up an account at some point which is MDE is saying they do. Have them try to log in and link their accounts. Or give you the password to make their FP+ reservations.

I never remember FP- allowing 2 adults for 1 FP- ticket... But maybe I missed out on a really cool loophole all those year! ;)

Well the 1st and only time we used it previously, we sent my husband to get a FP and it allowed two people to ride with that one pass every time we used FP.

The only time my parents went was in 2008, and they have never even been on disneys website. My sister spent a couple of hours on the phone last night trying to straighten it out but didn't know about the FP stuff at the time, because their reservations only showed the room. Then after an hour they found the tickets, but no dining. Another hour later they found the dining. I hope this isn't any indication of how the rest of the trip will go.

wow - wish I'd known we could have done twice as many rides before they got rid of the old FPs. Are you sure?

And to answer your question... each person has to have their own ticket, each person has to have their own FP. Whether you're using bands or cards (as in off-site) each person has to scan at each checkpoint in the FP return line to get through it.

My suggestion would be to get this fixed up at concierge before you go to the parks.

I think you're confusing the legacy. FPs with a rider swap pass. With the rider swap (for people who have kids that are too short to ride) the person waiting with the baby or child can take two more people with them to ride. Legacy FPs required each rider to have a pass in order to ride.

Don't think so, we had no kids when we went before. But, regardless, looks like everyone is right about fp+. One per ticketed person over 3. But I was able to call disney today and they fixed it and got the accounts linked and got my sister and I managing my parents since they don't have an acct.

Thanks everyone!
