so, I have a decision to make on my MK day. I arrive Friday! Yes. Tomorrow. I am excited. But I have a Big problem only dis foodies will understand.

I am on the dining plan. I have BOG scheduled for lunch at 11:30. No problem there.

For supper, I have found An opening for OHana for 4:30 pm. I have kept it so far and have been looking for a later time with no success.

My other option I have held on to is Crystal Palace for 7:30pm.

i really want Ohana, but I am afraid we may not be able to enjoy it as it is too close to our BOG meal and we may still be full. Should I give up on Ohana? Keep checking for a later time? Or is 4:30 not a bad time at all and I'm overreacting? These dining plans are for Tuesday of next week. Thanks in advance...

I have never ate at Crystal Palace, but if you want to keep your BOG reservation then Crystal Palace is your best choice. If was me personally, I would cancel the BOG reservation (I found it very over-rated, noisy and meh food) and keep the 4:30 O'hana. My family loved O'hana. You can leave the park in the early afternoon for a break from the crowds, have dinner at O'hana and then hit the park again for the evening hours.

I really only scheduled BOG for my 3yr who is obsessed with beauty and the beast. She kept asking if we would see the beasts castle. So I snagged a lunch adr rather than "waste" a ts credit.

Which do you want more - 'Ohana or Crystal Palace?

While an 11:30 lunch and a 4:30 all you care to eat family style dinner are very close together if you want 'Ohana then have a light lunch at BOG. You could share entrees or have only a bowl of soup or order just dessert. You can also keep looking online for a later 'Ohana reservation. If you prefer Crystal Palace then an ll:30 lunch and a 7:30 buffet are far enough apart.

Note that at lunch while you will be able to walk around all the rooms, you will not meet the Beast. He is only there for a photo op at dinnertime. Also for lunch (and breakfast) BOG is a counter service restaurant. It is only table service at dinner.

If you want to keep BOG just go for something light like soup, or just share a kids entree and dessert. Then keep your Ohana adr too.

How far into your trip is your MK day? If you have a few days between now and then, a later Ohana may open up for you. When we ate there in June, the best I could find for ages was something like an 8:45pm table which is way too late for us, but two days before the ADR, I stumbled on and was able to snag a 6:20pm, which was perfect!

How about paying out of pocket for BOG and split or only get soup, cupcake and drinks? You can all even just order kids meals.

I would keep BOG and dump O'hana. It is too close and not sure you will fully enjoy the meal there. I was not a fan of the buffet at Crystal Palace so I would looks for something different if it was me. I would say maybe Kona Cafe or another one of my favorites is the Wave at the Contemporary.
