Hi all...We are due to arrive noon time New Years Day to see Disney at Christmas for the first time. After some research (which I am hoping may be incorrect) this is what we will miss:

1. Storytellers in Epcot
2. Holiday Wishes (castle lighting)
3. Jingle Cruise
4. Candlelight Processional

Anything else?

#2 and #3 continue at least until January 3rd. You may miss the Christmas Parade if FoF returns on January 1st.

I was there for the first last year - They extended the castle lighting out til the 2nd week of January last year because it was so popular but not sure how long it'll play this year.

Holiday Wishes was replaced by FoF on the first (I went and saw it that day).
Jingle Cruise will probably still be there.

#4 will definitely be done but I'm not entirely sure about #1 (but I'd say they'd be gone too)

We're doing the same thing. Arriving NYD, planning to go to DHS when we arrive to make sure we get to see Osborne lights since it's the last year. We figured we might miss some other holiday stuff that might have continued to the 1st, but as Arkansans we can't miss the last chance to see Osborne lights!

Thanks for your help. I was hoping to tour the resorts and stay out of the park on the 1st but we may have to battle the crowds on the 1st to make sure we do not miss it. I planned Osborne lights for the 2nd.

This was a topic in a another post but I never really got an answer... The media calendar has Christmas Parade on Jan 1 but the WDW Disney park calendar has FoF returning on Jan 1. I'm not sure which is current and accurate?

I can say that we do have FP times reserved for the noon FoF parade on Jan 1 that we we able to get about 10 days ago. I would think that we would be getting a cancellation email at some point if the Christmas parade is going to run instead.

I'm assuming if I call & ask the FP+ help line (or some other line at WDW), they'd probably tell me what the media schedule says? Just checked & Jan. 2 has FoF FP+ available still too.

Not sure. I am thinking that the calendar that is posted on the WDW calendar page would be accurate. It does have the updated times for the 8:00AM opening & 7:00AM EMH that changed a few weeks ago so that would make me think it is current.

I've been in MK 3 of the last 4 New Year's Day but I can't remember what was running for parades. I'm just going to go with it and sees what happens. We are hoping for FoF since we will see the Christmas parade earlier in our trip but it's not a huge deal if it's not running. We'll be back in MK on 1/4 and FoF will be running then.

Ok so I've called the automated line now & it says the 1st is FoF at 12 & 330.
Media calendar still says Christmas parade.

The one New Year's Day we were at MK a few years back (3 I think), & it wasn't the Christmas parade.

Thanks for following up. Sounds like the media calendar PDF file in the link needs updated. We always hit MK on NY Day. If you get there early, it's not insanely crowded like it has been the last week. We'll go in MK on 12/30 to see the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks and then on 12/31 we will just watch them from the Poly beach (if the kids stay awake) and try to get to bed as soon so we can to get in MK early on 1/1.

Yikes now I may need to find a way to fit in the Christmas Parade too! Our plane doesn't land until 12 on the 1st

It's FOF on the 1st. Christmas Parade definitely ends on December 31st.

The Travel Agent calendar has been incorrect for 3 consecutive years.
