Arriving late in the afternoon - is it worth going into the park?

We are off to DLP this week. We arrive at CDG airport at 15.15 and have the TGV booked for 16.20 so should be at DLP at 16.30.

The day we are arriving the parks close at 18.00 so is it worth dropping out bags at the hotel (Santa Fe) and then trying to ride something before they close?

Will we even have time? We are two adults so no children to worry about!

might get in for 1 or 2 rides, but even having a walk around the park, snap a couple of photos of the castle. if you paid for that day, you might aswell go in, even if it is for an hour or so.

Whether you have time or not will really depend on how long the queue is to check in at the Santa Fe so you may have to see how you go on the day. The walk to the park from the Santa Fe is 15-20 minutes or you can catch the shuttle bus. Even if you don't have time to go into the park you could go to the village and browse the shops or get a meal.

We will definitely be going to the village as we will be meeting up with our parents and brother in law (and kids) they are travelling by Eurostar so are arriving a little earlier then us.

I figure we should at least try to pop in but my boyfriend says it's a waste of time!

I would go. We arrived around 16.00 last year and managed a lot. I wonder if the park closed at 18.00? Anyway, as we arrived our room wasn't ready, so we just grabbed our tickets. We walked around (it was our first trip) and did some rides. I wouldn't want to waste a minute.

if by the time you have checked in and got your park tickets etc at the Santa Fe, you still have an hour or more of park time left, I'd go to the park personally (and ride BTM in the dark). remember, the ride lines are open until closing time at 6pm, so you might still be riding 10 or 15 minutes after oficial park closing time, and you get around 30 minutes from official park closing time to browse the shops on Main St on your way out of the park.

I would if you get the chance. Even if you don't get on rides it will help you orientate yourself round the park, and pick up the timetables etc, which will make it easier on your first full day.

Have a great time!

Does it always shut at 6? We went in Feb a few years ago and I thought it was open later than that? We're off there again next month, never even thought to check opening times!
