Arriving late and getting room request?

If you arrive later in the evening are you less likely to get your room request? How many have arrived late and still gotten what they requested?

Strongly recommend using online check-in for a late arrival. If they text you the room number, it won't be reassigned. If you haven't checked in, your room may be reassigned when someone who didn't get their request asks to be re-assigned.

I've arrived late twice. The first time, I did not use online check-in and I got my request. The second time, I DID use online check in and did NOT get my request. YMMV.

Yeah. The way I see late arrival:

• If you get your room in a text, if you got your request, they won't reassign because you have the room assignment already.
• If you aren't set up to get a room assignment text, that original room is subject to reassignment if someone else complains before you get there.
• Whether you did online check-in or not, if you don't get your request, the odds on it being available to reassign to you that late rapidly approaches 0 anyway.

So the risk in online check-in is pretty close to 0.

We always arrive late (1AMish) and never do online check-in because of the minimum request options (they are getting better). We have had excellent luck with requests by faxing our requests in 6 days before arrival. I can honestly say that our last 4 or 5 trips to POR, POFQ and GF we got most if not all requests, with some extra pixie dust as well. Of course, it could just be all luck, too

That is good to hear. We can either do an early flight or later flight. So we are trying to decide if we should go with the later one so we wont have to get up super early and get no sleep.
I do plan to fax through touring plans.

I did online check in last time, got our room text with our room request before we'd even left our house to go to the airport. we didn't arrive until like 11 pm. We won't get there until like 1am this time. I'll do online check in again.
