What kind of rates have you gotten for the week of December 3-11? Any GREAT DEALS available?

I had a Disney Club discount for the 6-16 which was then changed to an AP discount. I don't think that they ever released room only codes for that time. Many of the AP discounts are sold out due to extremely limited availability. You should try CRO though, they may have something for your time frame.

an AP rate of $194 (that includes tax) at the Beach Club, but the dates are 12/8 - 12/14. We tried for the week you mentioned, and there were none. However, people cancel all the time so you could keep trying. Other than AP rates, I don't think there is anything out there. maybe a package. Check mousesavers.com. That's the best place to find out the best deal.

I got an AP rate of $89 + tax 12/2 - 12/12 for POR water view. I made the reservation on 10/17, so not sure what would be available now.

We have an AP rate of $139 +$10 resort fee +tax at the Swan for 12/5-14. I made the reservations quite a while ago, I think in August. Even at that time, I had to finagle a bit for the first 3 nights, but eventually got them through the niceness of the reservationist and a manager.

Last week, I thought I'd maybe like to go to AKL instead, but when I called CRO the only AP-rate rooms left for the time frame were at CBR, so we decided to stick with the Swan.

But...you should just try calling. You never know what you may get. Also, there are discounts for AAA members--and it may be worth joining (after you get the reservation) just for the discount. Also, there are discounts at the Swan/Dolphin for teachers/nurses/government employees, altho there's no guarantee they're still available for your travel dates. Call and check--a call to the Swan/Dolphin is toll-free.

Failing all the above, you might want to consider off-site accommodations, as much as I hate to mention it!

We got the Ap discount for the Poly GV 12/4-12/13 for $189 a night. We booked this back in September right after the rates came out. Our first reservation was for POR for the $89/night and then we called everyday trying to get a room at CR but no rooms opened up and then the CM said she had 1 room left at the
poly and we jumped on it!
