We will be arriving to MCO at 9:30 AM on Saturday Dec 10. We will be taking the DME to the GF. I'm thinking we will be arriving at the GF sometime between 11:00 AM and Noon.

I know I can wish for our room to be ready at this time but if it is not is there somewhere out of the way were we might be able to sit and close our eyes for a while while we wait for our room?

We are leaving the CAK airport at 5:35 AM (which means we will be getting up at ~3:00 AM) and I believe at this time we will be quite tired.

Thanks

In December we were able to check in early around 8:30am at the GF. But in October we had to wait until 2pm. The GF lobby is a really nice relaxing place.

Or leave your stuff with Concierge and go have fun!

Sure, If it is a nice day, you can sit on a lounge chair at the pool. I love a pool side snooze. :sunny: :cool1:

Hello! I am at GF as we speak and our flight was arounf the same time as your scheduled flight. We were supposed to leave out of Newark, NJ at 8:45 am but didn't take off until 9:15 or so. We arrived at MCO around 11:40 am. Then once we found the Disney Magical Express Counter (about a 10 min walk through the airport), we had to check in with them (about a 10 min wait to get to the counter). Once that was done, they made us get in a line that said "Wilderness Lodge/Grand Floridian" and we waited another 20-25 mins for the bus to arrive. Now what I don't understand is why our line said "WL/GF" and we still had to stop at the Contemporary and Polynesian. Nevertheless, we ended up finally arriving at GF (the last stop) at 1:30 and our room was ready. Being 4 mos pregnant and traveling with a 2.5 yr old and a 9 month old infant made me question why I even opted for DME in the first place. I should have just spent the $$ and taken a car service to GF as it would've gotten me there sooner.
In any event, to answer your original question....There are plenty of tables and chairs outside and also padded lounge chairs by the main pool. There are also cabanas on the beach that are perfect for snoozing. Of course, I'm not sure what the weather will be like for you, but the lobby is pretty relaxing as well. I'm not sure you would feel comfortable sleeping in the main part of the lobby, but the second floor has a sitting area by the stairs that is not as busy
Good luck and enjoy your trip!.
