arriving at port a day early

One more thing, Michele. I just called and asked for the VISITFLORIDA rate that I found on the website and they kindly fulfilled my request. Our room rate is now $89! Every little bit helps!

Feel free to email me directly if you have any more specific questions that I can help you with. That's what this board is all about!

lovethatdisney, do you know what kind of room they gave you for $89? Thanks for you help!! Joy

just the standard room - thats good enough for me for one night! $89 means more $ to play with on the ship. I have three rooms booked so that another $30 in my pocket - yippee!:p

The standard is fine with me too. They just didn't have any for when we go. Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful time!!

Last year we stayed at the Raddison and took the shuttle to the port. We reserved the shuttle time when we checked in. They don't even ask you if you are parking there and they never did ask for our tag number. The area you leave your vehicle in isn't gated, but we didn't have a problem.

This year we stayed at Royal Mansions in Cocoa Beach and parked at the port.

We arrived at the port around 10:00 both times and were among the first on the ship. I too have a son with ADHD, but he had stuff in his backpack to keep him occupied, plus he was able to walk around the terminal until time to board. I thought the time passed really quickly while waiting. Alot of people "sit" in line instead of having to stand in line, so that helps too.

Enjoy your cruise!

Can you take snacks and drinks to the port to snack on while you are waiting?

Lovethatdisney,
We have 5 in our group and they booked us a suite. I am not sure if that is why our rate, for the Florida visitors is 109. I will still take the coupon, who knows, I may get an extra $20 off!

BTW, we are on the 2 Aug 7-night Western.

Thanks for all the info. We were wondering on what is the best time to arrive at the port. I am in a w/c and the Radisson said they would try to accomadate us. So.....with only 2 weeks until I leave I am glad to know I don't have to worry about this part of the trip!

Thanks,
Michele

wow, thank you so much for telling us about roomsaver.com. I just saved $10 for when we go. I have the $89 rate booked, but now it's $79 with the coupon. We're also going to MNSSHP (for the first time) the night before we cruise. Can't wait.:Pinkbounc :bounce:
