One other benefit is that you can get your parking pass at checkin, so if you drive to the resorts, you don't have to pay for that first day of parking. Or if you're like me, you just leave your vehicle at the resort and hop the bus. They will usually tell you which building you are going to be in.
They do seem to assign the actual room at the time, even if it's not ready yet.browniemtb said:In March we arrived at 10:00Am and checked in. They actually had our room all ready. We just dumped our stuff and off we went. From what I read its a crap shoot on whether you'll get you room or not, but I would try.
We leave tonight and are staying at the Dolphin for one night and are going to try to check in early Saturday morning.

After a nice lunch and some more swimming, it was suddenly 4:00! - We called and the room was waiting for us. We got into our room at BWV at 7.20am in August this year! It's worth a try. The week after, we did not get into OKW until 4.20pm! The luck of the draw, I suppose.TreesyB said:Do you think I should try to check in at 9:30 am? I'm actually not sure what to do so early in the morning.... can you check in at 9:30 am?
