we have a 7 night onsite package with a 8 day park hopper booked for next year. Our plan is to upgrade to annual passes. We are now arriving 2 days earlier and staying offsite for a couple of days, would we be able to upgrade our park hoppers 2 days before we check-in onsite? It's ok if we can't because we will just enjoy the pool and Disney springs etc but I was curious if this was possible

1. Yes, but there's no reason to do so, as they would not allow FP+ to be booked earlier than your check-in date.

2. What you CAN do is simply go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations on the day that you arrive and "activate" your package tickets on that earlier arrival date.
You would then able go into the theme parks even before your WDW resort check-in.

You could, even at the time you early-activated your tickets, do the upgrade to AP.
That WOULD be the thing to do (upgrade at that earlier time) so that you would
not lose the final two-days of advance FP+ that you booked for the last two days of your original tickets.
