Arrived today at Kidani Village!

We arrived early this afternoon around 1:30; we did online check-in for the first time. The front desk CM was pleasant, fast & efficient...it took about 4 minutes to get our keys/welcome pack. Our ded. 2 bedroom was waiting for us! So far, we've had VERY good luck with our room being ready here at AKV...of the last 4 visits, 3 of those we've had our room ready. I hope we continue to have that kind of luck!

Our villa was very clean with the exception of a few of the pots/pans not being as clean as we like/expect...although we always run them through the dishwasher first before we use them...other than that, our room is perfect! We have a standard view, right next to the elevator overlooking the pool area. We couldn't be happier...gotta love this underground parking. For us, it's now very hard to even consider staying anywhere else here at WDW. (we've stayed at WLV, OKW, and BCV) I'm really glad that DVC has so many choices, somewhere has to be almost perfect for everyone, and I think with KV we truly have found our home away from home!

Hope you have a great stay! We too feel that AKV is our new "home" although we love OKW too. Be sure to check out Sanaa, we had great times and great food there (although we love the Jambo restaurants as well). Enjoy!

We returned from Kidani just 5 days ago....... We too LOVED this resort and found that it was a great fit for our family Our room was also ready when we checked in and we also had a pool view which I loved this location.
When we arrived the Mousekeeper was there adding the pot holders and she was so sweet and friendly she was showing my kids around the room and was sharing in their excitement.

Kidani is such an amazing place! I remeber knowing that I had made the right decision the first time I walked down the hallway. For those that like quiet getaways, there is no where better on site!

We were just at Kidani in June and have to agree it is a fantastic resort! We also felt it is perfect for our family. We did online check-in and when we walked up to the lobby doors there was a CM standing outside to greet us by name! She had our welcome folder and room keys ready. We didn't have to go to the front desk which was great! Our room wasn't ready yet so we walked into the little shop there & within 5 mins. She found us to tell us the room was ready! They also text messaged me to tell me. Our 1 bedroom was perfect and the Savannah view was great. We loved the pool area and loved the private dining that would deliver there!! The walk to the main building was quick and easy for us, less than 10 mins. and that was with 2 kids in tow! We really can't wait to go back. I will say that for us a car is a must here, especially during the summer.

In my opinion, Kidani has the best group of CMs. They are very efficient, attentive and the most pleasant we've come across. Others might feel differently, but that is our experience.

We loved it too, last Oct/Nov during our first stay. DH loves his "pets" and can't wait to see them again in Dec. It was a fabulous experience and trip.

Thanks for the live update! Good to hear that check in went smoothly and that your villa was ready. I agree that one of the best things about DVC is that everyone can find a resort they love. Have a great rest of your trip.

Just got back y/day and Kidani was one of the resorts we stayed at. IMO and that of my 7 year old, it was the best resort. DH likes BLT. This resort has great CM's and their community hall rocks. So much free stuff to do as well. DD loved it. We had quite a few animals outside the entire time we were there.

Enjoy. We can't wait to return.

We love Kidani! We had a wonderful time last trip, had a Savannah view room just steps away from the lobby. I felt like I could've spent the entire trip there. Actually my son caught a virus while we were there so we had to spend a day and a half in the room. No worries, I found plenty to do and would really like a little more down time next trip in order to fully enjoy what Kidani has to offer.

thanks everyone! we had a great time at KV, and can't wait to go back...we have all of our 2011 vacations planned, and we weren't going back to Kidani until Dec. '11. Well, we decided to try and add a couple of days to the beginning of our VB Oct. reservation...I'm calling MS as soon as they open Friday AM!

We were able to check out the ground-floor models of BLT yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised as to how much we liked the 1 BR portion of the 2BR lockoff. I thought it was a bit smaller than KV, but not by much. I agree with what's been said here on the disboards about the sink situation in the studio portion of the model--I just didn't understand the design--with the bathroom sink next to the kitchen area. It really won't affect us, as we rarely have stayed in a studio. I honestly think that we'll probably never stay at BLT (as much as we liked it!) I think that if we stayed anywhere else at WDW, we'd miss our beloved Kidani Village too much!

Can't wait to go back!
