...when we landed in Orlando, but I didn't care.....I WAS STILL ALIVE! Well, I wasn't the only one.....the whole plane load of us made it in one piece...thank you thank you!! I dread flying, but thanks to my wonderful Doctor, I'm usually able to sleep through a flight.
This was a very unexpected trip. My DH (John) announced to me two weeks earlier that he had some time between projects and thought he might like to go to WDW. You could of knocked me over with a feather, I was so surprised. I had been to WDW for DisCon (solo), and never expected to get back again so soon.
I need two weeks to get ready. Booking flights, a resort, buying passes, that's the easy part, it's the chick stuff that always slows me down. You know, pedicures, hair colouring, waxing (ouch!), sudden bouts of intense exercise.....four more ..three more....two more....(why oh why don't I do this on a regular basis?), and then of course, the shopping!!
I bought a magnet at Downtown Disney Westside, that kind of sums up the whole shopping thing for me........"I feel like such a failure! I've been shopping for over 20 years and I still have nothing to wear!" LOL...that's me! I have to have some new clothes for a trip, it's just one of those things I guess.
Our flight left Toronto at 6pm Sat. Feb. 23rd, and arrived at MCO at 8:45. After picking up our luggage we headed over to National to grab the rental car and started out for Port Orleans Riverside. It was pouring rain and the windshield wipers were making a frantic...whish-whoosh-whish-whoosh sound as we drove out onto the highway....but we didn't care, we were ALIVE, and on our way to the WORLD!!

I hope they were still working a bit for the drive in the rain. That would have made me nervous too!
