Arrival dinner- Morimoto or Homecomin?

So DD and I arrive Wed AM and were going to try to walk up to Homecomin for dinner. Hearing the horror stories about crowds, I made an ADR for Morimoto Asia. We enjoy both places- on arrival night would you keep the ADR, or take a chance at walking up to Homecomin? We also want to grab Gideons- is the wait still crazy- should we check before dinner?

If you're willing to eat early, like 4 or 5 pm, you should be able to get a Homecomin walk up time. Any later than that and it probably won't happen.

Gideons can vary a lot. I waited 10 minutes after lunch one day, but I've also seen 1 hour waits when it first opens. What I think happens is you get a long line forming before opening, then once they get through it the line will die down before building back up around dinner time.

Morimoto is really good, but so is Homecomin. I would stick with your reservation. I would also go check the line at Gideons right before dinner and get added if it's long. I have done that twice, and it worked out that we had a nice long meal and then it was ready.

Went to Gideon's twice during my recent trip, late afternoon weekdays, and the line was only about 20 minutes each time, I was shocked!

I got it around 1 pm with the short wait. Not a guarantee but I think they know people love it.
