hi

So we are going in August for 9 days. My 5 year old son and I. Our flight lands at 8:30 am and are taking DME. The plan is go right to Epcot from Animal Kingdom Losge. We have a 6 pm Garden Grill ADR that night but should I figure out breakfast or lunch? I'm not really doing lunch reservations. Just breakfast and dinners. Would you just wing it that say or book something. My son does better in a sit down than cafeteria style type.

I would get breakfast at The Mara at AKL. They serve breakfast till 11am. Then maybe a light snack mid day at Epcot, so that you will be hungry for your ADR at 6.

I wouldn't book anything else, just do something quick for breakfast or lunch. Our arrival day is similar to yours - our flight lands at 8:30am, we're taking Magical Express to Beach Club, and we have a 5:20pm dinner at Garden Grill. We plan on getting something quick after we arrive at the resort and use the pool and just relax. And then walk over to Epcot for dinner and a few fp's. I wouldn't book more than one ADR on arrival day.

WOW! What time do you need to get your 5 yo up to make a flight that lands in MCO at 8:30? He is going to be exhausted by dinner. I would not make a dinner ADR in Epcot that night, but rather go back to AKL, have an early dinner & get to bed early to start your vacation

My DD and I just did GG a few weeks ago at dinner and we loved it, it is a lot of food for two people, we did not do justice to all the food but the character interaction was so great. The food was really good as well. Maybe if you request an early check-in as most important you could all rest before your dinner. The Mara has good choices for breakfast and lunch.
