Arrival day to genie + or not?

We have a flight landing a little before noon at LAX and car service taking us to the DLH. We plan to hit the parks within an hour of arriving at the hotel (honestly not sure how long to expect it to take with baggage claim, travel time, traffic, etc) and I’m debating if I should plan on getting genie + for the three of us. We adore photopass photos so will likely try to find a few and wonder if it would be worth it to have coming in in the afternoon to skip some waits or do you really need to be there all day like a WDW to get any use out of it?

We were just there, 19th-25th, and there were still plenty of Lightning Lane passes available for both parks pretty late into the evenings. Rides like Indy, Space, Toy Story, and Guardians seemed to be the first to "run out" from what I saw, but that wasn't happening until 7-8pm most days. Everything else I can think of still had plenty available.

We went last week and arrived at 6 pm on Wednesday 12/22. We didn't do Genie+ that day and just planned on doing standby attractions, walking around Galaxy's Edge for our first time, and eating dinner. We ended up getting quite a few attractions in. We did purchase Genie+ for our three full park days.
