Well..here we go. I just knew this would happen. We had the perfect flight times until about 1 hour ago.
Now we leave toronto at 625am and get to Orlando at 915!!!!!!!!!! and coming home the following sunday we leave orlando at 6pm !!
Any suggestions as to how this will affect our getting into a room and what time we have to be out the following sunday?
Has this happened to anyone else?
I was positive about it to the travel agent thinking well at least this gives us another day to hit a park but we will be fairly tired our first night after having to be at the airport that morning by 5am. I even had all my dinners booked for the week using up all our ts credits by doing HDD and CRT ...now we will need another dinner seeing as we'll be there now for dinner. Should I just use a cs credit (i'll have one) or go ts and pay OOP???? Ughh this changes my plans...my well thought out and changed already multiple times plans!!!!
UGGHH. tell me it will be fine. :thumbsup2

I think it should be fine, I believe that most all of the resorts will hold your luggage for you, so upon arriving at Pop, you should be able to leave your bags at the desk and head to a park, same when you leave, you should be able to check out at the time you have to and they will hold your bags, this way it gives you a chance to enjoy the parks before you leave. I hope that helps you out a little. :)

Personally, I would LOVE those flight times. And as previous poster said, the desk/bellmen will hold your luggage when you arrive if your room isn't ready and on the last day before you head back to the airport.

Personnally, the earlier I get to WDW, the better. Even if we have to get up and it is still dark outside.

And the later I leave on my last day....even better. I want to be at WDW as long as possible.

We will arrive at MCo at 10:50 on our arrival day and we are leaving on a 7:15 pm flight on our departure. That means we actually get a whole extra day of fun at WDW.

We had the 6am flight. Would I do it again? YES! Like the OP said, it's like having an extra day! We still took it easy that first day...pool, Chef Mickey's, etc. but what a great way to start off our trip. Plus, earlier in the day, the airports don't yet have the backlog of all the day's tourists. Less chaos at the airport is always nice for me!!! :) Enjoy!!!! :sunny:

That is how we always arrange our flights. We figure that if we arrived later in the day we would pay for a park ticket, so we might as well get as much of the day out of it as possible.
If your room is not ready the luggage will be held for you and sometimes even brought to your room when it is ready. You can always call the resort while you are in the park and check when your room is ready then go there to unwind mid-afternoon. Or pack your bathing suits in your carry-on and go relax at the pool until your room is ready.
Then on leaving day, do the same but in reverse. Your luggage will be held until you come to get it to leave. You still need to check out by the resort time.
I would never shrug away one more TS meal either. Just think, one more place that you can try. Yummy!

Have fun! You're in Disney! :wizard:

Those are the flight times I always try to book. My favorite. You get to your hotel about 10:30-11am. I usually check in and then head off to lunch. For my family it is usually Beaches and Cream. We hope over to Epcot for an our or so by then the room is usually ready so we head back to the room and get settled. Then we go out for dinner.

We don't us the dining plan but if you have a TS left I'd make sure I use it.

But depending on how you are getting to and from the airport a 6pm departure may mean being ready at your hotel at 3pm for Magical Express.

I'm thinking too - this is a good thing - extra time at DISNEY!!

We just had similar flight times about 2 weeks ago and it was awesome!! We got to the Contemporary and checked in but of course the rooms weren't ready (DME still had our bags) so we checked our carry-ons with bell services and headed to MK for lunch. It was already crowded, but we got hot dogs at Casey's and then went into Tomorrowland. Got FPs for Buzz and rode the Transit Authority train thing while we waited. Went on Buzz and then we headed back to the hotel for a swim. One of our 3 rooms was ready, so we had all the carry-on's delivered there...all changed there and went to the pool. When we were done swimming, all our rooms were ready, our luggage was there waiting for us and we got ready for dinner at Chef Mickey's! It was a full Disney day!!

On our checkout day, we checked out of the hotel around 7 a.m. Left all of our luggage with bell services and hit MK again! Got back to the CR in time for DME to pick us up at 4:30 for our 7:20 p.m. flight. Another full Disney day!!

Just plan and pack accordingly and you'll basically get 2 extra days :teeth:

Those are the same times we had last year when we went to the POP and they were perfect. We couldn't go to our room but we checked in, got our cards and headed over to MK. When we got back later in the afternoon the luggage was waiting in our room. On our last day we checked out, stored the luggage and went to MK to have a nice B-Day lunch at CP for my DH. We then went back to the POP at around 3 to get our luggage and wait for our ME pickup.

Those are just the flight I like. :Pinkbounc Get there early, have a whole day to play. We are almost always at the resort by noon and checked in our room! :thumbsup2 If you room isn't ready, just go enjoy the parks or your resort (or DTD.)

Also leaving later is better. Disney will hold your luggage for you. An extra day on ticket doesn't cost much more now with the new MYW tickets. (or 2.) :cool1:

Don't worry about the last meal. You are going to be so full by the dinner plan you won't want to eat for a week after.

Last time we stopped at Earl of Sandwich and brought them with us to the airport. Turns out it was a good thing because our 7:00 flight didn't leave the airport until midnight. This was the 1st time this ever happened to us. It was good to have the sandwiches. :teeth:
