I noticed that registration was scheduled to go live today at noon for the 2011 half marathon and maybe the full too.

My wife wants to run with me for this one, but she is not 100% sure.

Around when does the half usually fill up?

Last year I'm pretty sure the half filled up in April and the full didn't until pretty much race day or the end of December.

I know the 1/2 fills up pretty quick, someone else will have a more accurate answer, I had the same question about the goofy, I signed up in April last year but they put in more spaces any idea how fast it fills up on a normal year?

I so should not be thinking about signing up again 1 day after, but what can I say, I'm goofy!!!

Goofy usually fills up first, then the 1/2, then the full.

If they have the 7000 entries for Goofy this year like last, I'd give it a month, tops.

The 1/2 I've noticed goes to March/April.

I have a file on my computer at home with the dates. This is coming from my head. Expect teh half to fill in the april - June timeframe. Watch the site as Disney starts a percentage full counter when the race reaches 50% capacity. As it hits that mark it will start to fill faster due to the 'panic' Note that in 03 (I think) the half race filled in less than 3 weeks.

Goofy has been filling in less than a month. With the 7500 limit I would expect it to stay open a little longer.

The full usually clases around late summer early fall. While 2010 officially sold out in late December, I really think they just ran the total up to 97 and 99% full to panic folks into the last minute entry. Just my thoughts.

Hope this helps

Also, I see a lot of falks on the forums stating they do not know what their time will be so they put 3:30 (7:00 for the full) or leave the space blank. Put a number in that is 5-10 minutes above the minimum time requiring proof. That will get you off the back of the race and a little ahead of the sweep clock.

It filled on 4/28/09 for the 2010. I figure it will fill faster next year. They added runners this year so took longer than the March date for 2009 Half.
