My wonderful husband has a work conference for a week in LA and knowing how much of a Disneyphile I am, he offered to fly me out for the weekend to do LA for a day and Disney for the other.

If you only had one day (and a park hoppers pass) to see the best of what there is to offer, what would you do and where would you eat? I will be there Sunday, March 11th.

On my must do list so far is:

Haunted Mansion (at LEAST twice)
Indiana Jones
Pirates of the Caribbean
Guardians of the Galaxy
A photo op with Oswald

besides that, I'm open to suggestions!

if you were touching the rope, you could do the first three in one hour with the current new fastpass system, plus next hour knock out BTMRR while waiting to return to HM, ROA is very quiet in the first few hours.
Straight to Indy, with a 60% chance that it is not open the first hour, grab a fastpass for BTMRR if indy FP is closed, then off to POC, over to HM, should be open by then, check Indy if open, grab second FP for BTMRR, back to HM. about 80 mins for that routine.

Definitely get maxpass. You'll have a blast. The food and wine festival will be running in DCA, definitely grab a meal or snack there. I would be sure to get a fastpass early for Radiator Springs Racers and visit Carsland. And possibly do a dinner package to see a show (WOC in DCA or Fantasmic/fireworks in DL).

Oswald is usually by the entrance to DCA - love him! I was disneybounding as him one day and he and his handler were so happy, we got tons of great shots that day :)

I totally recommend the WoC dessert party. Saves you tons of time, you can sit, nice desserts and drinks. It is a great way to end your day.

Is this your first time? Have you been to WDW? I would do the rides they do not have at WDW - Snow White, Alice, Mr Toad, all of Carsland. I see Indy is on your list already, and so is POTC (not the same as the one in MK). I agree with chickapin - the New Orleans Square area is nice and quiet in the morning but later it gets very congested.

Don't forget: if you'll be there on your own, Indy has a single-rider line, as does Space Mountain and (now) Matterhorn.

I would add that Radiator Springs Racers has a single rider line too.

This is my second time going to DL. I've been to WDW loads. I really want to catch WoC. I've heard it was amazing!

That sounds like a killer plan! My biggest goal is to see the things that are different from WDW. I'm hoping to catch WoC and then run over to Napa Rose for a late dinner. Its my husbands birthday and I'd really love to surprise him. It's the least I can do!
