The point is that Ron Reagan Jr. is a very liberal person, everyone knows that. Of course he supports Obama. Again this is not news and it's not surprising.

Right. So the posts on the thread like:

Ronald Reagan is only "great" to the left when they think that they can score a point or two. No point here. Young Ronnie has been 'acting out' since dad first ran for the White House. He is a well known liberal with whom the only thing he has in common with Ronaldis Magnus is his name!

There was a thread about the other Reagan son endorsing McCain...and some here on these boards dug it like you wouldn't believe. He's a republican...no big surprise. That was AHHHHHmazing to McCain supporters.

But, this endorsement...this isn't news worthy.

A friend who has moved in circles with the Reagans said Michael is still trying to wear the mantle of the man who adopted him as a young child. He wants to out-Reagan the old guy.

Ron, Jr. feels free to be his own person.

BTW, Nancy Reagan stood by McCain for the obligatory photo shoot and half-heartedly said 'This is the nominee of the Republican Party.' She hasn't had anything to do with McCain since he dropped Carol for Cindy. The Reagan's took Carol 'under their wings' and got her a job in the administration but there's been no love for Johnny boy since then.

Does it really matter who endorses who, especially along party lines? Does one really think somebody is going to change their mind because an actor/governor endorses them. I would hope the majority of Americans would look at the issues and vote wisely instead of being enamored by some celebrity.

For some people, it really does.
