Senator McCain picked up the important endorsement of Vice-President Cheney. (Video here.)

Cheney believes Senator McCain is the right person to lead the country at this time. I suspect Cheney was holding off on announcing his official endorsement for the Presidency until late in the race in order to maximize the impact it would have for his chosen candidate.

With Cheney's endorsement McCain can now claim that both the President and the Vice President support his candidacy for President. Since McCain's opponent picked up the endorsement of Bush and Cheney's first Secretary of State, this makes Cheney's endorsement especially important. I suspect we are going to see a few campaign ads trumpeting Cheney's support.

Does it really matter who endorses who, especially along party lines? Does one really think somebody is going to change their mind because an actor/governor endorses them. I would hope the majority of Americans would look at the issues and vote wisely instead of being enamored by some celebrity.

actually his son is the laughable one in the family. that is pretty obvious from those that have listened to him.
