While swimming in a resort pool at POR on our FIRST day of a week-long vacation, I lost a contact lens. Being very nearsighted, this had the potential to put a huge damper on our trip. It was the Friday which began a long Labor Day weekend. The cast member at guest relations at the resort gave me the numbers for several Lake buena Vista optomotrists, but was not hopeful that I could get a replacement before Tuesday. My optomotrist at home was also very helpful, after being contacted at home, he drove to the office to get my prescription and fax it to the FL office. We found that the Lens Crafters in LBV had Saturday hours, even on the holiday weekend and, though they were closing for the evening by the time I contacted them, they said they had disposable lenses in my prescription that would be available for me the next day.

The next morning, I sent my family ahead to AK and promised to catch up with them as soon as I picked up my new lens. I went to the front desk to arrange for a cab, but was told that the ride would be quite expensive to that part of town. Arif, of the valet services at the lobby, took personal interest in getting my lenses at a closer location, and when that failed, petitioned his boss to allow him to drive me to that opt. in a PO vehicle. The boss wanted Arif to drive me one way but didn't want to spare him for a lengthy open-ended wait at the office. Arif found the office quickly, dropped me at the door and was coming in to ensure that I got good service, when I, already finished, was walking back out to him. He was glad that he could give me a ride both ways. When approaching WDW again, he asked where my family was. I told him AK, and he asked if I needed to go back to me room. I said he could just drop me at the front door... I would be catching a bus to AK to meet my family. He DROVE me to the front gate of AK and refused any tip to show my appreciation. Between the free trial lenses at LensCrafters, and the sweetness of my new boyfriend, Arif, this whole debacle did not cost me one dime!

Thats awesome! We have encountered some awesome CM's who have gone above and beyond and I truly believe that is what keeps us coming back. Little things like that!

Great Job Arif!
