Ariel's Grotto - Reservation Time Questions

I was only able to make a reservation for Ariel's Grotto for two for next Friday the 25th at 2:30pm (yikes - that busy ALREADY!?). Just wondering 2:30pm for lunch is a bad time? I know that the princesses work from certain hours, and sometimes there are certain times that are bad (like, I read I post here not too long ago that someone did breakfast at 11:30am or something, and there were only a couple of princesses there, as the other princesses' shifts had ended).

I actually really wanted a breakfast reservation, but they were all booked-up inside. I didn't want to eat outside, in case it's cold/rainy (and it's looking cooler next week). Any comments on what it's like to eat outside? Is there as much Princess interaction? I can always change my reservation to outside to get breakfast.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've found some older posts about Ariel's Grotto about inside vs. outside seating, and I am glad I picked inside seating, as it does look like a better idea since the weather will be iffy next Friday.

I am still not sure about the 2:30 lunch time. Does anyone know if the entire set of princesses will still be around then?

Is there a link or resource that details character breakfast, lunch and dinner hours? I understand that there are set hours for each meal (like, breakfast 9am-11am; lunch 12pm - 3pm; dinner 5pm-8pm - or something like that). That should give an idea if the characters shifts are ending...ahem, I mean, the princesses need to get back to their castles! :cutie:

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We almost always eat at off times because the crowds are less....we've ALWAYS had 5 Princesses, no matter what time we've eaten there.....and we have eaten there a lot...seriously, both our girls are big Princess fans, we've eaten there a lot. LOL

The way Ariel's is set up is different than the other character meals where characters come and go, and people are seated constantly. There are SET times for Ariel reservations, where the entire restaurant is sat at approximately the same time. At each seating, after everyone has met Ariel and been seated, they announce each princess individually then they make their way around the room. Once one gets to like the 3rd table they'll announce the next princess. I don't know what happened during the other post you mentioned, but unless you are seriously late I can't see how you wouldn't meet all 5 princesses.
