Argos - warranties?

Hi, does anyone know what warranty you get when you buy a tv from Argos?

I bought a tv/DVD player last sept for DD Xmas gift (09) however over the last few weeks it's started to play up. And before I hunt out receipt any advice would be gratefully accepted

I have looked on site for info, but can not seem to find it.

Unless you took out an extended warranty then you get the standard years manufacturers warranty.

Hope I can resolve it like my DVD home cinema set it was 14 months old got
Credit note covering most of original cost lost £20.

the warranty will be with the manufacturer (usually 12 months), unless you bought a argos branded telly or extended warranty, in which case go straight back to the shop.

I work for a company that supplies Argos (not tvs) and warranty or technical problems are normally delt with via a helpline.

If you can fish out the instruction book, it should tell you if you contact them directly or go back to the shop.
