Hi all,

Am really annoyed as it seems the prices for May's first full week (5th onwards) have rocketed going up by over £200 for 4 nights at the Cheyenne!... I am wondering if I can expect to get a better deal or if £800 odd really is the best we can expect (although this seems an insane amount considering it's £980 for golden forest at sequoia in december!)

Is £830 really the best for Cheyenne for 4 nights ? I can see that on the exact same dates we can get golden forest rooms at SL for £30 more!! Insane!

That reallydoes seem extreme. How many is that for and does it include transport? It cost us a lot less than that for June for 5 but it didnt include transport

Indeed, it's only 2 of us without any transport, I have no idea why it's shot up so high yet other hotels prices are the same.

It might be that they don't have anymore rooms available on an offer where as the other hotels do, they tend to release them in batches

Doh. I'm really annoyed at myself for not booking earlier!!...

I may have to just bite the bullet and do it now, otherwise knowing my luck rooms will run out completely. :(

thats not likely first week of May - its not high season or anything like that. It just means that for your dates, at the moment, there are no Cheyenne room offers because the room allocation for that offer for that hotel has run out. Can you change your dates at all, see if the original price comes up that way?

I'd wait for the next offer - Disney are still selling their winter (ie up to March this year) prices under an offer, so another one is bound to come out for May after this one.

Yeah Iwould imagine there would be a future date if you can wait, just doesn't seem worth it at all imo, might be worth changing dates if you can affordto be flexible by a week or 2?

I think we'll just have to wait, the idea was it was meant to be a bit of a budget trip this time as I'm trying to save at the moment, so £800 is way too high.

Thanks guys, I just hope a good deal does come up and we don't get stuck!

Even playing around with dates days either side of your preferred dates sometimes changes the price hope it works out for you

I always compare the partner hotels when looking to see if an onsite price is a good deal -

for example, first week of May, 4 nights midweek on travel republic, the Magic Circus and Dream Castle hotels are £448 for your party of 2 (higher rated hotels compared to the Cheyenne) and the Kyriad (same rating as the Cheyenne) is £288.

Add on the price of 2 APs at around £270 total, and I'd be looking for a Cheyenne price of no more than about £550-£600, to compete in the value for money stakes.

Have a look at how much it would cost for one person, factor in an AP and see if it brings the price down. Then you coukd have a subsequent holiday for even cheaper!
That is a LOT though - maybe put a deposit down and change it to a better deal if it comes along? I'd still look at the AP route, we book for one now and use AP's. And give our spare ticket to a friend who books the same week, for one person :)
