I do not want naysayers on here please.
Just people to make me feel better please. :)

We go in the morning.
I am watching the snow coming down here (South Wales) and although its only flurries, I am now convinced that we will wake up at 3am and need to dig the car out and not be able to get onto the motorway.

I am also convinced that we will be horrendously delayed getting to Folkstone and as apparently tomorrow is 1 of their busiest days of the year, we will end up not getting on the tunnel until late in the day, therefore losing 1 of the precious days of our holiday:happytv:.

I also think that the motorways in France will be awful and once again will end up not getting to Disneyland until its more or less time to come home.

Will someone talk some sense into me please? :worship:

Its the 5th time of doing the journey and 3rd time at DLRP so its not as if we don't know what we're doing.:eek:

Take a deep breath. :)

Don't waste time worrying about the things your can't control. It is pointless. If the snow is going to be bad there is nothing you can do about it. If it were me, I would assume we would be delayed and go forward expecting us to be late. That way I would be prepared for the worst case and happy if there are no issues.

check the weather reports for tomorrow for your home, and for Calais. If neither of these say continuous heavy snow, then breathe a sigh of relief and believe it :goodvibes. Give yourself plenty of time to get to Folkestone and enjoy your trip.

Delays/no delays....it's gotta be better than work :)

I know where I'd rather be!

Have a fantastic time :goodvibes

Problem is there is no snow forecast anywhere. So to be honest I'm not putting much faith in weather forecasts when it has been blizzard like for the last 2 hours.

And (on a role now) all we wanted was temps around 8/10 degrees. I don't expect 27 dec (ha ha unless of course it was last year) but now we are looking at 4 degrees. Ummmm hello it's the last weekend in March and last year it was 27!!!

I think I am upset because this us our third visit and we are still yet to encounter anything remotely like normal weather. Snow and torrential rain appear to be the only weather we can get even though we only visit in spring and summer.

Sorry guys, guess I need another glass of wine.

We will enjoy ourselves of course but its just so much easier if you aren't soaking wet and freezing cold!!!!!

amen :rotfl2: - the only times we've had dry fairly warm weather at DLP was going in early October (despite having been there in May and June several times).

Just looked at the BBC weather page and the next few days in Paris don't look too bad. There's rain forecast for Saturday (so I'd be doing WDS that day) but the rest of the time it looks dry and not toooo cold.

I don't think there should be any snow this side of the country and into France.

You should be fine :thumbsup2

If you don't want to go, just shout and I'll go in your place! ;)

It will be fine :) The Midlands is clear of snow,we had it all last week,so travelling down should be fine for you! Before you know it you'll be there enjoying yourself x

Not all the midlands is clear of snow, we still have a lot locally in north Nottinghamshire, though the motorways and main roads are ok now!

I'm sure your trip will be fine, I always feel a bit panicky a day or two before!

Hope everything goes well with the drive down tomorrow and the roads stay clear!
