Hi,

I'm freaking out. I booked our trip through AAA and had marked my calendar to call in the final payment before the 45 day mark. Tonight, I opened the mail to find a notice saying that the due date is today (about 55 days prior). Of course, I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone and I'm freaking out that my hard-to-get reservation will be cancelled. I'd pay today if I could get through to anyone!

Does anyone else have any experience with this? Will they just automatically cancel my reservation?

Thanks!!!

Whew! I finally got a hold of someone at AAA this morning and they called Disney directly and made sure that my reservations were not cancelled. I made the payment over the phone and everything is set.

I still don't know why there is a discrepency between the 45 days vs. 55 days. Maybe so that people like me who don't read their travel documents won't get their reservations cancelled. :)

So anyone in the same boat doesn't need to lose sleep like I did!

It's usually customary for a TA to require payment from clients at least 1 to 2 weeks prior to the date the payment is due in to the supplier. This is to insure that if the client is paying by check or cash, that the payment can be processed in time. :)

glad it all worked out for you! I couldn't imagine if my trip was cancelled due to late payments. Like the other poster said, outside travel companies requirte payment 1-2 weeks PRIOR to Disney's cut off..So they can make sure the payment clears before sending it on.
