Are your Parents Still Alive?

My Mum is alive but my Dad died on 1st February 1998. He was in a nursing home for the last few years of his life with Alzheimers.

No, my DM died in Dec 1982 and my DF died in Sept 1993. I miss them both very much.

My dad passed away in October 1996 at age 79. My mom is still alive and 85 years old.

My mum is; she's only 52. I found out via the internet that my father died on January 1, 2005, after a massive stroke on both sides of the brain. He'd just turned 54. We hadn't spoken since 1988 which is why I found out through the 'net. Talk about a shock.

No, my father died in 1997 at age 67, cancer. My mother died in 2004 at age 74, stroke. I miss them sooo much!!

No. My mom died at 61; dad at 80. I am 38, and I still can't believe both of my parents are gone.

My Mom is a healthy 82 yo. My father was killed in 1962 or 63.

I feel "very blessed." Both my parents are still here with us and we'll be celebrating their 57th anniversary in WDW in 31 days!

My Mom is a very young at heart 76 yo old who has more energy than I do . We were blessed to have dear Dad with us 86 yrs, but sadly lost his battle to cancer almost 4 yrs ago.

My dad died in 97, he was 71.
Mom is still alive...80, in a home and knows no one; demetia. It's really sad because it's like she's been gone for years already.

My mom dies when I was 19 in 1983. She was 42. Dad is sill here and living wih DH & I and is 71.

Yep! They're in their early 60s. My maternal grandmother is also still alive in her early 80s. My wife's parents alive and are in their late 60s - we're really blessed.

Yes, my mom is 61 and my dad is 65. (I'm 40) They are enjoying life as a retired couple, I love them both very much and don't know what I will do when they are gone

They are all alive THANK GOD. My good friend received terrible news about her own mother yesterday. Her mother has been diagnosed with a rare and fatal lung disease. Speaking to her I couldn't help but think of how painful it would be to be told my mother had x number of years to live. I am so sorry for all of you without your parents. I hope you have wonderful memories to comfort you during the upcoming holiday season. My heart breaks for you.

My Mom is 89 and in a nursing home with Alzheimers. My Dad died in February 2004 at age 89. Two of the hardest things I've done in my life are burying my Dad who was my hero, and putting my Mom in the nursing home.

Both parents and both in-laws (all 60s to 80s) and three of my grandparents (92, 94, and 97) are living and reasonably healthy.
