How are the crowds? We are thinking of going 1st. week of Dec. next year for the Christmas decorations but we prefer low crowds.

I'm here! Can only tell you about Epcot though. Slow start this morning (Sat.) but got quite busy in the afternoon. If you're coming in Dec., this is a good week to do it. Will only get busier until after the first of the year. Christmas week itself is the busiest week of the year.

We'll look forward to your visit next Dec. :goodvibes

I thought the week after Pop Warner and Mouse Fest was slow. This would be the second week this year. I know ***************** has this week listed as 4s and one 3 this week. The previous week is 5s and 6s.

I am here, and it is PACKED!!! We have come 7 years in a row the 1st week in Dec. Low attendance except weekends, and this year for some reason, there isn't even a room available on property. I won't come again this week. I am disappointed. Can't get a table service reservation except after 8 pm. We have had discussions about this in other threads. Could it be the successful sales of DVC with the great deals at SSR? I know I am a DVC new member, and I couldn't get my entire vacation there, so I am staying at different resorts. It is unbelievable....

This first part of December does have a good number of events taking place:

And there are other conventions/events taking place as well.

Just returned tonight, Sunday Dec. 3 from a short trip. Animal Kingdom was PACKED on Saturday - we thought it was awful! The most crowded I've ever seen it. By 1:30pm Expedition Everest was out of fastpasses and had a 70 minute wait. (we had fastpasses ourselves so got to ride.)

On Friday morning we were at Epcot. Packed. We were there around noonish and it was an EMH day (evening) so maybe not the smartest day to be there. But a 45-minute wait for Soarin, tons of people. Later on Friday we went to MGM and it was also mobbed. We were able to walk onto TOT by that time - around 6:00 - as people were starting to head to Fantasmic and the Osborne Lights.

MVMCP on Thursday night, Nov. 30 seemed pretty crowded to me. The rides were all easy to get onto during the first part of the night but there were TONS of people there. I can't compare it as I have never been to the party before but I was expecting fewer people.

We have been many times and didn't care much about the rides or "smart touring" but we were totally unprepared for the mobs. We followed TourGuideMike's recommendations for which parks on which days, and TouringPlans called for crowds of 4, 4, and 6 (of 10) so were even more surprised to find what we did. We always loved this time of year, we'll never do it again.

We just got back from our trip Nov. 27-Dec. 3rd. We also went the same time last year due to dh convention. Let me tell you I really didnt expect it to be so crowded. A cast member commented to me about how crowded the 2nd fantasmic show was, the peter pan line was 50 minutes long at 10 pm in the mk on sat. night. I am glad we made our adrs etc. It was a last minute trip for us and we even had trouble getting a room with 3 weeks notice. I plan very well so I am prepared but I think it was more crowded this year than last year at the same time. But the weather is comfortable etc. and we had a great time. If you plan well you will be o.k. Best of luck.
