I very much dislike where I live. I hate it 9 months out of the year. The first three I deal with it because the weather is nice.
we live here because of DH's job. He is currently looking for a new one that will get us to move somewhere else.
It's too hot 9 months out of the year. I despise grocery shopping week in and week out sweating. I hate not really being able to go outside because it's too freaking hot for an infant. I hate the general enviroment made up by the people, the landscaping and the buildings. The area we live in now is much better but I am sick of palm trees and little wimpy trees. I want a tree that is not a palm and taller than my house.
The lizards. I hate lizards. This time of year they are better but during the summer I can't open my front door without a lizard running inside. Luckily the cats usually take care of that.
The COL. I do not see a time in the future when we can buy a house if we stay here. Our friends bought a small two bedroom townhouse down the street from where we used to live for over $600K. Now I don't want to buy a condo or a townhouse, I want a house with a little backyard and no one on top of me. I want my own garage and my own driveway. I want my mailbox at the end of that driveway. I do not see that happening here, at least in a town that I would want to raise my son and other future children in. I do not want to have our second child until we have a house so that bugs me.
I want to move to Dallas, Indy or basically anywhere else that has a small resemblance of seasons without the bitter cold of Chicago (though I would like that, DH would hate it.) Some place that has a afford housing market. I would like to be able to purchase a 3/4 bedroom home for under $300K.
I am currently obsessed with Colorado and other areas out there. I don't think I'd ever move there, too far from family in MA but I'd love to give it a shot. Looks so beautiful out there. I grew up on the ocean and missed it when living in Indy and Chicago. I am back now and NEVER go. I would love to live near some mountains and be able to really get back into skiing again. I'd love to teach DS to ski, well when he can walk!!
