Are you stressed by the dining plan?

Our last trip was in 2000 and I overplanned everything. I read everything, made spreadsheets, posted messages like a fiend and then wore us both out on vacation. I had lunch and dinner ressies every day that we were there. So, this time, I'm trying to be very hands off. We can't really plan too much anyway because we're traveling with a 2 year old this time. I handed off all the booking to a travel agent and I'm only planning on making a couple reservations for meals. We've been off and on considering buying the dining plan. I am thinking that we could save money using it, but just thinking about it makes me feel like I need to start a spreadsheet right away! LOL! It just seems like you'd have to really pay a lot of attention to make sure you use all your credits to get the best value. Am I over-thinking this? Plus, there's the thing with DS - we'd be paying for all his meals out of pocket anyway since he wouldn't be on the plan because he's 2.

I think it is a value and you don't HAVE to over analyze it. That being said I have been on allearsnet looking up menus for months for the fun of being able to get stuff I normally wouldn't because I would be too worried about how much $$$ I was spending, and I won't finish it..... This allows me to pay for the food up front and just have fun. I am an overplanner so I understand going nuts but for me it's fun. (I also have all my meals picked out- if there are menu changes I will probably go nuts :rotfl: )

Relax. Each time you use the Dining Plan, you will get a receipt telling you how many snacks, counter services or dining services you have left.

I would certainly recommend making reservations at least a day or two in advance for each dining service.

I'm going more by what sounds good versus what is the best value. There are probably a few restaurants (LeCellier primarily) that we wouldn't be eating at if we were paying out of pocket but the value of the meal isn't our primary concern. We just care if it tastes good :teeth:
