Are you prepared for the bird flu?

I read somewhere that we should have 3 months supply of food in the house and be ready to spend that amount of time in our house if it should strike.
What are your plans?

I have a two week supply of beer. I guess I need to get some more.

No plans. I think the avian flu risk has been trumped up wildly - kind of consequence of 24 hour news media. Gotta have something to fill the time, might as well start scare-mongering for bird flu!

Are we over the monkeypox yet? :rotfl2:

3 months supply of food? I can hardly afford to keep one months supply with the prices in the SuperMarket anymore.

I'm buying a big umbrella to take to WDW, so that when I walk in front of the Liberty Tree tavern, those seagulls don't crap bird flu on my head.

Are you prepared for EBOLA? It's pandemic in gorillas.

Finally, a use for for plastic sheeting & duct tape.

Darn it, I knew I shouldn't have taken off the plastic with duct tape off my windows and doors yet.

I have a soon-to-be 15YO son -- where could I possibly store 3 months worth of food for him??????

Wait, I think I'll prepare by buying stock in Del Monte and that company that makes Tamiflu.

I'm wondering how I'm going to get out of going to work for 3 months...especially since I'm a nurse in a hospital!

What are you going to do? Wrap all the birds in your yard up in plastic and tape it shut so they don't spread the flu? ;) :teeth:

You are not going to get any good answers for this, there was already a long thread on this exact subject a couple of weeks ago

So, to give you a nicer reply.......... I hope you have a great evening ! :teeth:

Actually it hasn't been trumped up because the possibility of a major pandemic clearly exists. Its just that its not imminent and hasn't emerged to produce disease from human to human contact yet. When it does I think we will then have time to prepare more fully.
