I was wondering how many of us belong to club threads :scratchin

The club threads I belong to are:
Chicago area DISers - check in here
Calling all Fireman Wives!!!
MR. BACK's Back!
Extreme Makeover - TAGLIARCHY Edition
Last one to post (sometimes)

If you belong to club thread/threads which ones are they?

If you don't, why not, and would you like to belong to one?

I go once in a while in the Maelstrom-fastpass threads, but it's too difficult to follow up on it if you're in a complete different time zone

I don't belong to any club threads. It just seems like everyone already knows each other and it is hard to jump in when it is like that.

I guess because I'd feel kinda dumb coming late to the party. Most of those threads have been going on so long and just jumping in somehow feels rude.

If I would choose one to belong to, I think it would be the Tagliarchy one...because I just would like to know what that's all about! :)

I joined two because I thought they were funny and wanted to post too. I just said "Can anybody join?" and I got lots of posts back telling me "the more the merrier" basically. Both have been deemed "sophomoric" but some days I need to laugh. KWIM?
Also, any inside jokes I don't get I ask and they explain it.

Love our Taylor Hicks thread. Think most of my posts have come from there and the AI S5 thread. And I've been around since '01! Just recently became more "chatty" when I found a topic I was passionate about (yea, passionate.) :rotfl:

I'm not sure of the definition of a club thread, but I stop by the OT thread sometimes and obviously the Tigger&Belle thread. When it was around I was on the "anti-clique ;) clique" thread. Before that I was kind of intimidated by the club/clique type threads. I never seemed to get in at the beginning and felt strange jumping in even though I wanted to.

I know that I've encouraged people to come over to the T&B thread and when people stop in the "regulars" are more than welcoming. I'm betting that it's the same way with most of the other long-standing threads. It's just when a person, especially a newish poster sees thousands of posts, it's a little intimidating. :rotfl:

I think those threads are a fun way to get to know people on a board that has so many people. We may disagree with each other on other threads, but the club/clique threads are more of a social place where people can hang out and chat.

BTW, I'm an anti-cliquish person in real life, just to clear that up! :teeth:

Not enough time for a club thread. I guess that you could call the cruise meets thread a club thread though. It keeps me busy!

I started one, it's more of a fan club for Prison Break

Prison Breakers Central

I don't post on them for the same reasons as already listed... it seams like everyone already knows one another and I don't want to be rude or feel like an outsider... I work w/all men so it is nice to chat w/ a more diverse group.

Does it count if the same three people keep the thread alive. Literally. 3 people.

And only on weekends at that. We're so sad. :sad2:

Not exactly a "club" thread, but I do enjoy the All My Children thread. Lots of good laughs and talk about our favorite ridiculous soap opera. :teeth:

Not really a "club," but I am the host of the "Official What's For Dinner" thread. :) It's awesome. You can get a LOT of helpful ideas in there :)

I post on the T&B thread (Hi T&B!).

I also post on the OT thread, and the DISer's trying to concieve thread.

We're all very friendly, I swear! :)

:rotfl: I guess you could say I am! :rotfl:
BTW Sandy, you need to stop by more often!! :teeth:

I'm part of the.... Cranberry or Pineapple group on the cruise meet forum. It's almost been a year since the thread started and we've become quite a little family. :goodvibes

I don't belong to any clubs but would like to.

To me, it's the equivalent of coming really late to a party and then just starting a conversation and expecting everyone to listen to you. Does that sound strange?

I know what you mean.

Actually, that's kinda why I started the OT thread- we were always taking other people OT, so I started a thread where anyone could jump in and never be OT.
