Kids are off from school, DH is never off. We are going to Disney on Ice on Monday.

My DD is off from school. So we are doing the babysitter thing...

I have to work, but I don't mind though. In exchange for working MLK, we get the day after Thanksgiving!!!

This isn't one of DH's paid holidays either.

Work for a bank...Was a retail manager for years, Both companies I worked for were open 365 days. Working for the bank is like being on vacation every couple of weeks when a holiday rolls around. I love it.

My store closes only 2 days a year. MLK isn't one of them.

Nope. dont get next monday off. My job is open 24/7/365. My dept is lucky to be closed the few days a year that it is. But MLK is not one of them.

I work for a professional sports team and we have a game on Monday. The office isn't closed, but if I attend the game, I can work half of the day.

Yep, i'm off at my teaching job Monday, but not my other, as my other is a hotel, we never close.

Nop! MLK day is not a pay holiday for us. The kids have no school

We work but make double time and a half for it....the next holiday is Lincolns birthday, then washingtons...nothing in March and then good friday in April.....

I have to work on Monday but DH has the day off. I believe our schools close for MLK but the daycare is still open. My next paid holiday is Memorial Day. The daycare is closed for President's Day and neither one of us has off that day so DH will take a day of vacation to stay home with the kids.
