There's a small bit of ice on the roads (like an extremely thin layer) and fog out. We closed the school! I actually WANT to be in school-there's stuff I can learn there! Plus we haven't had a full week since the last week of December and we now have to go back to school in the summer for four days!

Call me crazy, but I don't want to be out of school!

My 7 year old bawled when school was canceled last week. You are not alone.

I heard that there was quite a bit of "black ice" on the roads across the country this morning. That can be incredibly dangerous, so I can understand why they would not want the buses on the roads. But, why not just a delay, until it had a chance to melt?

Are all the schools in the area closed? Maybe there was a problem with the buses, or the heat was not working in the school.

Not all the schools in the area are closed (most of the ones in the bigger towns are delayed...Findlay, and Toledo). We did have a delay-but now we closed.

I don't know why we didn't just stick it out with the delay. I can see why they did not want buses on the roads (thanks, Denae).

OMG! I know! We are waiting for Toledo to close! My sister(7) loves school and doesn't want it to be closed but my brother(5) doesn't want to go because they are having macaroni and cheese!

I don't know about where you live TigerCheer2009, but here, the fog is very thick and its freezing onto the roads and sidewalks. And of course they have to think about the buses driving on the roads when there could possibly be black ice.

I think the fog is actually getting thicker if anything. I live about fifteen minutes from BG. According to 13ABC, Toledo is only delayed still.

I am in Huron County and we have a sheet of ice over the car that was left out last night. And my husband said the roads were very slick when he drove to work. He fishtailed at every turn.

AHHHHHHH! Toledo Christian and one of the Toledo HS's closed. Now why can't they close the rest of the Toledo schools? I hate our superintendent. Last week, when we got hammered with snow, he was questioning closing Wednsday or not! Hello, idiot! We are under like a foot of snow, streets aren't plowed, sidewalks aren't shoveled, and you expect kids to go to school!?!?!?! But thankfully, they closed......so we went sledding!

Come on already! Just close the freaking schools. You have to admit, it sucks going to school while every other school in NW Ohio is closed!

We DID get alot of snow last week but its melting now. All the schools around here are closing due to fog and ice. All but Toledo that is!
