My fiancé calls to let me know he dropped off the rent. Oh good – saved me a trip (around the block, but still) Then tells me he talked to landlord, who asked him just to stick it under the 2nd from the left concrete planter.

I told him – you go back and get it! And he’s got the kahuna’s to be MAD at me!!! He would have gone ape-wild, if I had done that! OMG!

He’s not getting any pancakes tonight, I can tell you THAT!

I am with you on that one. WTH was he thinking? The landlord could just say the the CASH was not there. IT is not like it was a check that can be traced!

You can still work this to your advantage......say something like, the gas company called and they want us to leave cash in small demoninations under the 2nd garbage can from the right....or Mastercard called, they told me leave 1 gold bar underneath the porch steps, they will send someone to get it later......just mess with him, you can get alot of mileage out of this one...I love to have fun at the expense of others

It is a good thing you made him retrieve that envelope!! A friend of my DD's did this and, sure enough, the landlord later said he didn't receive the rent. DDs friend had to pay that month's rent again because there was no way to prove he had left the money!! This added outlay of cash meant he couldn't pay his cell phone bill so his phone was shut off!! It was a nasty situation. You are a 'smart cookie'!!

Sounds like something my DH would have done and said. Lately I've been shaking my head in amazement at the things that he's been doing. I don't know whether to be mad at him or whether to feel sorry for him. Either way, he's driving me crazy, and it's a short trip!

Great minds (or evil minds) think alike! That was my first thought when I read your original post CathrynRose! I guess if I want to get even with my DH about something, I'll have to contact Cindy's Mom to get some good advice!!
