I think this will be one of those events that becomes a part of the social fabric of America. People will remember where they were or what they were doing when LeBron announced which team he was going to sign with.

No offense.. but I really do not think it is that important to many people....

I will always remember where I was at when he made his grand (over the top) announcement of which team he still wont win a championship with......

AT HOME -- NOT WATCHING!!!

Wait. Haven't you been following the news cycle? Based on coverage, you would think it was the second coming.

according to Ochocinco he's going to NY... take it for what its worth... this was via facebook

ETA i hate basketball but dh leaves ESPN on all the time and I wind up watching it.. I do love me some football though! And I'm not a Bengals fan.. I just think Ochocinco is funny..

Add me to the list of people who couldn't care less as to where he goes. Of course, I hate basketball so that may have something to do with it :lmao:

Lebron James...Lebron James...***scratches head***...

I know I should know that name. Basketball guy, right?

In all seriousness, if this becomes the "fabric of our anything" that'd be quite the sad commentary.

This is the highlight of today?????:confused3

its been going on for the last week... same thing every day on ESPN. Why we have to keep watching about it I dont know :headache:

ITA! It ranks up there with my "who cares" moments in life. lol

BTW, the only reason I *might* remember wehre I was is due to relief of it finally being over.

A FB friend has a new drinking game....turn on ESPN and everytime they say LeBron, take a drink.

DH said that James let it slip during an interview that he was going to Chicago. No idea if that's true.:confused3

You should live in Cleveland. I have stopped watching local news and talk shows. I can't stand it anymore. Good grief, the guy throws a ball into a basket.

I have no idea who a LeBron is.

But, but, but. . .he's KING JAMES! An hour long special on ESPN, really. . .is where he chooses to go really worth all this angst? He's one guy. . .btw, Mike & Mike in the Morning say he's going to Miami with D Wade and Bosch. . .I really don't care where he goes as along as it's far from here so I don't have to hear about him until/unless he plays Detroit. :rolleyes1

You would pass-out in the first ten minutes

I have no idea who he is, but, according to the local news, everyone should be following his every move. :worship: Frankly, it's disgusting! The same has been going on for some guy that plays for the Miami team. It's beyond pandering. :crazy2:

We need a good barf smilie. :rolleyes1

Wait. Haven't you been following the news cycle? Based on coverage, you would think it was the second coming.

That is only if you allow the news cycle to determine what is important. It has been about 50 years since that was the case. Based on that the most important thing in the world is who celebrities and athletes sleep with and what they do in their spare time.

I live in Cleveland and can't wait for him and his ego to be gone. I love all the doom and gloom people who think it will collapse our economy. It goes to show how small we think here at times. I have an idea, attempt to lure the headquarters of a large company here which will bring with it thousands of good jobs instead of worry about some bars losing a little cash because the front-running fans won't go to games without the new Jesus playing for our team.

I will be watching the announcement up at my volleyball game and will probably be the only one cheering when the words out of his mouth are anything other then Cleveland. A man who throws a ball into a basket (and isn't actually even from Cleveland contrary to what so many people say) just isn't that important, even if he inflates himself to make it appear as though he is.
