Are you dressing up?

I bought a costume for my daughter to wear at the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but I was thinking about just wearing a Halloween shirt instead of a costume. Are other parents dressing up? Costumes are so expensive I did not want to spend the money on myself.

We did on our honeymoon dress up and Guess what 100.00+we have NEVER Worn those again...NO, we wont be dressing up as adults this time , BUT am looking for a cool halloween tee to wear....And its MORE to LUG in the suitcases....but thats us....

Lots and lots of adults dress up for MNSSHP. Last year I didn't dress up and kinda felt left out. So this year I am going to. We are doing a Narnia theme so I get to be the white witch, hee hee.

Going with a total of four families. All the mom's are wearing our pajamas, curlers in our hair and maybe work in a facial by wearing an arbonne mask while we are there! I can't wait to tour the MK in my PJ's!!

Yes, we are but we plan to have a whole lot of fun!

I'm hoping to! I don't have any great ideas on what would be light and comfortable at the same time for someone who is Pooh sized. Being that I am on the fluffy side, I don't want a whole lot of me hanging out if you know what I mean? I was originally going to wear a tee shirt and shorts like my hubby and older son but it's too borring! I MUST find something to WEAR!

We're two adults and we're definately dressing up...last year, we were Shrek and Fiona (the Shrek costume was home-made and cost about $20! It was great!). This year (our second MNSSHP), we're going as Belle and human-Beast...and yes, these costumes are more expensive, but should be a lot more fun, too! Can't wait - I love the excuse to dress up - something we NEVER get to do at home!

We are just a couple of adult women. I found matching t-shirts for us on eBay. Luckily, they come in pooh sizes. The shirts have a witch on the front and it says Black Hat Society, no doubt a clever take on the "Red Hat Society". On the back it says Witches Gone Wild - Beware the Witching Hour! I thought it was cute enough and not too scary. Now, we just need witch hats and we will be all set.

Now for the giggle part....
Gabby wants to get those large mammary glanded torsos that you can buy at the party shops and wear those underneath the shirts. Since we are advertising ourselves as witches gone wild, we would be able to flash folks. She said that we could use lime green Mickey heads as pasties.

Now, that would indeed be more of a trick than a treat. I think we are going to have to save that idea for HHN at Universal some other year. Maggie

The Boss and I will be wearing our costumes. She has Malificient with a Capt'n Hook Pin and I have a Capt'n Hook with a Malificient Pin.

Unfortunately, she is way too cute to actually look like Malificient and I.....no comment.

I am only 1/2 dressing up. Since it has been years (like probably 30+) since I have worn a costume, I really don't want to dress fully up. So, I am going as a New England Patriots fan. I bought a NE Patriots shirt & hat to wear at the party. I can wear the shirt with any shorts that I have so that I won't be too warm and I can still pretend that I have a costume on.

I am dressing up, and DH is going to be if I can find something for him cheap. (If I cant, then I wont be either, I will feel funny if he doesnt too!). But we are doing it for the kids. I am a gypsy, threw stuff together that I had, and the costume is costing me $5. We want DH to be a pirate, but man, those costumes are expensive, and I cant even find anything to 'cut up' to make into a pirate costume.

I'm not...but only because I am packing lighter than light and don't want to take a costume. I figure I'll have just as much fun watching everyone else in theirs! Maybe I'll hop onto Zazzle and see if I can make a Halloween-ish Disney style shirt.

I am sorta dressing up..got red shorts, a black tank and minnie ears that I will have to get when i get there... Probably put DH in a hat or something..and DD is a cowgirl this year

DH is going as Indiana Jones, me as a Reinnasance queen? THe gown is really warm, so I will probably take a Halloween t-shirt to wear with shorts if it gets too hot.

Kids are going to be Malfoy from HP, and a green power ranger.

I couldn't get anybody to agree on theme.

We were going to go in our Snow White and Prince costumes - then decided satin + orlando = Grumpy and Grumpy instead. So, most of our group will be in some sort of Disney shirt on Oct. 16th.

I ordered my DD a new Cinderella outfit and she going to get her hair and make up done at BBB before the party. My DH doesn't want to wear anything and so far I just ordered myself some Halloween themed jibbitz to stick in the holes on my Crocs. Maybe I'll pick-up a Halloween themed T-shirt to match my decorated Crocs.

We are dressing up. We were trying to do the toy story theme is my DS wanted to be buzz. So DH said he would be Woody but all they have in adult size is Buzz. So no theme. DD 7months is going as dumbo, DH as a braves baseball player, and me as goth ann. Which is a black and white raggedy ann costume. We dress up anyway when we take the kids out trick or treating.

Dress up if you can! We went a couple of years ago with a large family group and had a great time. My DSIL, who didn't want to dress up, wore his bowling shirt but DD made a "poodle" skirt with a bowling ball and pin instead of a poodle and they looked too cute together! My DS wore black jeans a white tshirt with tennies and his DW was a "pink lady." DH and I wore "renaissance" type royalty costumes (he wore tights and all!) and the CMs made lots of positive comments. My two nephews were Mike and Scully from Monsters, Inc., their mom went as Boo, and my DBIL went as Mr Potatohead. Be creative! Your costume doesn't have to be costly but you can have more fun if you dress up!
