We were planning on staying at all star from four nights and then moving to the wilderness lodge for four more. Will we have two differnt plans with four table, snack, counter credits on each or one with eight of each?

To have the plan on both reservations, you need to make them both a package with DDP, with at least one-day admission tickets. They won't be connected.

The credits associated with your first four nights will expire at midnight of the day you check-out from the All-Stars, and the credits associated with your second four nights won't be available to you until you check-in at the Wilderness Lodge.

I didn't realized I would have to buy two four day passes. Well, then I won't be saving as much money on passes. I guess we will just have to stay at one. Most likely the all star. :guilty:

We're staying 1 night at the Hilton at WDW, then 5 nights at BCV. I'm confused about the DDP ressies....I have to make each seperate DDP at each property? I have to split my tickets into two seperate purchases?

The first is no problem, but the second will be more costly...having to buy a one day hopper versus the free added day to the 5 day pass a ticket broker is offering. :confused3

The Dining Plan is part of your vacation package, which must include hotel accommodations and admission. There are no vacation packages offered that include hotel accommodations at different resorts, over the course of the package dates.

Split-stays aren't something that vacation destinations provide explicit support for. That's something that some of us fans have dreamed up (and not many of us, incidently.) Disney is actually the only vacation destination I know of that provides transportation of your luggage between two hotels, should you put your own multi-hotel vacation together. If you tried to do a split-stay at some other resort areas, the hotel will suggest you use a taxi to transport your luggage.

If you do choose to do a split-stay, the only option available to you that includes the Dining Plan is to purchase two separate vacation packages -- think of it as if you are on two completely different vacations.

For your second reservation (WL) you could just get a 1 day base MYW ticket for each person and put them aside to use on a future trip. They cost *approx* 70 dollars per adult. As long as you don't use them they won't expire. So if I were you, I'd consider the 2nd bunch of tickets irrelevant (to *this* trip) and ensure that your 1st bunch of tickets (from Reservation no. 1) are the tickets you need i.e. correct no. of days, hopping or not etc.

I know you're not going this year, but, as an example, the package discounts on offer now for Oct to Dec are very good and even though we have our tickets already (bought the UK/Ireland 14 day tickets) I considered it worthwhile to still book the discounted package (for part of our trip) and keep the park tickets for future use (i.e. 2010 :guilty: :teeth: ).

As Bicker says, Disney will move your luggage for you. That's a great bonus really because last year we moved to the Hard Rock Hotel for one night and it was a pain waiting on a cab and hauling the luggage in and out. This year we have at least 3 different resorts (I'm getting confused! lol) but although the packing will be a pain, I'm looking forward to not having to lug the bags anywhere. Good luck!! :)

To saschab,
Definitely don't use both sets of tickets on this trip because, as you said, it's not cost-effective. An extra day on a MYW ticket is so reasonable. Get your 5 day tickets and put the other ones away! Gook luck!

Oh I just wanted to add - you need to very careful with how you use your dining credits during a split-stay. For example, if you're entited to 8 TS meals *in total* over the course of your entire trip, if you do a split-stay then you must use 4 while you stay at All Stars and 4 while you stay at WL. Therefore, there's no way to have 5 sit down meals while you stay at AS and 3 sit down meals while you stay at WL - well, unless you pay out of pocket for one and waste some credits during the 2nd stay which would be crazy. So, how you plan your ADRs will affect this decision too.

We have two 10 day ressies at the All Star Sports.

Does anyone know how the DDP credits work with 2 ressies, overlapping?

I understand that the credits from the first 10 days expire at midnight of the day we check out BUT I am reading that the new credits start when we check IN for our second 10 days.

Does that mean that the credits will overlap on the day I check out for the first ressie and check in for the second ressie?

Just wondering, Slightly Goofy

Yes, on your check in/out day you will still be able to use whatever credits are left from the first 10 day vacation as well as have access to the credits from your second 10 day stay. So be sure to use your "old" card for meals on the overlap day since they are about to expire.

Just As honeymo pointed out, your credits are on the respective room keys for the specific hotels. Therefore, you cannot use the credits for the second hotel until you've actually checked in there.

Personally, if I was doing the dining plan and splitting my stay, I would only do the package on the 1st part then a room-only reservation for the 2nd 1/2 of my stay. It will cost you about $280 to buy a one day ticket for each of you. To me it's almost as though you are paying double to do the dining plan.

You can not book the DP while staying at the Hilton only at BCV. Are you renting points?

Oh gosh... did I miss the fact that the saschab wasn't staying at a Disney resort for part of their trip, until now?

Joyce is correct: You're not eligible for the Dining Plan for your stay at the Hilton, and if you're staying at BCV on DVC points, the DVC member must make Dining Plan arrangements for you. The good news is that if you're staying at BCV on DVC points, you don't have to purchase admission to qualify for the Dining Plan.

Thank you for the replies!

Knew about the member making the ressies for BCV..didn't know about the Hilton on property. I knew it wouldn't have restaurants participating, but thought since we'd be hitting the parks, we might be able to add it on. :confused3

Thanks for the clarification. :goodvibes

Bicker are you stalking me? I've "bumped" into you on several threads :teeth:

Anywho, you answered correctly. I think you were answering slightlygoofy's question & I was answering saschab's

Yeah, that's the ticket!

This is obviously an issue with a lot of people splitting their stay, which we are doing this time! When I called to split our saty betwen Pop & SCR the CM Kept our park passes on the first reservation and only added a one day park pass to the 2nd so we would save money and not repurchase park tickets or worry about not having DDP. As long as you are thinking of them as 2 seperate ressies as far as DDP is concerned and you have as many days for the park pass as you want then the stress is gone and enjoy your split stay!!!! :thumbsup2
