From the looks of people's tickers, there are an awful lot of us arriving on the 1st day of free dining! WOO HOO!!!

So...who else starts their WDW holiday on Aug. 26th?

We'll be at All Star Music Aug.26th-Sept.2nd!!!

Checking into POR on the 26th staying until Sep. 2nd. We will be arriving from JFK to MCO at around 1:50pm. Should be at the hotel by 3pm. Need to be at Boma for dinner by 6pm. 7 yr old son still doesn't know we are going. HEEHEEHEE

So cool that you've planned a surprise trip!! Wish we had done the same thing. I'm sure your son will be flipped out with excitement!!! When/how will you be telling him the big news?

We're getting in to MCO around 11:30am. Hoping to be checked in by 1pm!! Get some rest and pool time before taking a cab to O'Hana for 5:30!!

My flight leaves from JFK at 11:15 and arrives at MCO at 1:50. After dinner on the first night we usually go to DTD and hit Disney Quest. I will make the suggestion of the MK but its up to hubby and son. We don't leave until 8:30pm on the 2nd so I am not sure what we will be doing on that day.

Its so much fun trying to keep this secret. I hear from my son about every other day that he wants to go to Disney World. I was laughing this morning because he was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I laughing to myself while he is singing. I had to stop for a moment, he just came to the computer while I am writing this. He knows that Disney is in Florida but I am not sure if he knows its in Orlando. But when we get to the airport, I am sure he will figure it out because there may be so many kids on the plane talking about it. We will play the surprise by ear.

As for the surprise. We will pack while he is asleep. Have my hubby pack the car while he is in the shower. Get dressed and head for the airport. He will question us all the way to LaGuardia. I put JFK but its LaGuardia we are going to. It takes about 20 mins to get there from Manhattan. I just have to make sure to have the camcorder handy to catch his surprise reaction.

Last year we surprised our sons with a trip to WDW. We told them we were going to the airport to pick up my aunt. As we had an early a.m. flight, it didn't even register with them that we had our luggage on the shuttle to the ticket counter. The jig was up when the ticket agent said, "So, are you guys going to visit Mickey Mouse?" That woke them up! Wish we could have gotten it on tape!

We also surprised our boys with this trip. I couldn't wait as long as you!! But part of our fun is watching the planning DVDs so I wanted them to enjoy the planning. But what we did was not tell them we were planning it or that we had booked it. Then on Father's Day I videotaped DH opening presents (which the boys thought was definitely weird) and then I said to the boys--here's your allowance--and it was Disney Dollars. They were like "what do we do with these?" Youngest DS said we can buy things at the Disney Store and then I said "or you can use them when we go to Disney in August" Their reaction was just stunned at first and then jumping up and down, yelling, oldest DS picked up youngest and spun him around. It's all on videotape. It was great. So much fun.

It is hard trying to keep this a secret. We were watching the planning DVD and he said I want to go back to Disney World. My hubby and I just looked at one another and smiled. So the cat is still in the bag.

Actually we are leaving from LaGuardia. So used to leaving from JFK.
