visit the other resorts while you are at WDW and actually go in and see the rooms to see if you like them, etc... I know you can just walk around and check out the resort but I didn't know if they would let you see the rooms, as well. Any response would be appreciated.

We have walked around the resorts and looked in open doors that mousekeeping has open and looked in. but have never actually gone in. most likely it might depend on how busy they are but my guess would be no. othewise there would be alot of people doing that.

I was considering going to POP one day and asking to lie down on one of there beds. See I'm not generally a "value" girl, but DH and I visited POP and I thought it was cute. I was going to "compromise" with DH (he's the cheap one and wants to save money where ever he can) and stay at POP, but I've heard such BAD things about the bed I'm afriad to. I'm not sure they will let me, but I thought maybe some Wedsnesday afternoon or something they might, if it meant a possible booking.

We were able to peek in a Sav. room at AKL one evening, while walking back to Simba's clubhouse. No one was staying in the room. Housekeeping had the door open with the cart. I did not have the guts to go in, even though I really wanted to.

I think there is a wilderness lodge tour, but I don't know if that incl. a room tour or not. They might also show you rooms, if you are considering DVC. Not sure though.

I guess I'm really not that much help.

If you ask at the fron desk and a room is empty they will give you a tour. I tried at CR but the rooms were full but they seemed willing otherwise. Just let them know you are interested in staying at the resort.
