Are you a Single WDW fan

 Hi Everyone:)
Just wanted to say thanks again for all your responses. I am so excited because we finally decided our trip for next summer will be Aug.3 -13,2004. It seems like such a long ways away but I did put our name on the vacation countdown list. I'm having trouble getting the countdown timer to work for me for some reason. I hope I will eventually figure out how to put it on with my postings.

Single, 31y/o, male here. I have gone solo to WDW a few times and do enjoy it but I have also met DISer's there who were also solo which is part of the fun. My next trip is in 10 days. 10/29 to 11/2. I can't wait. :)

Well, I am 24, but I am single and love WDW, I am taking my second solo trip in the beginning of Dec, staying at ASMu.

Hi there, everyone.
I'm a recently re-single WDW fan. People think I'm joking when I say WDW is my "spiritual home," but you know, unpleasant bits of reality just can't follow you down main street! ;)

I'm single, 41, 2 Hours away from WDW and I only go once a month. :)

Since my daughter moved out a couple of years ago, I find myself drawn to my happy place. So, when I don't have anything to do, I go.

Hi all! I'm a single 30 something wdw addict going for a fix in December! I'll be there with my dd, but not sure who's the bigger kid!
And a special "Hi" to my fellow disboarders from MA! :wave2:

I am also single and over 30. :wave2:

My next journey to WDW will be next week! :bounce: I've got MNSSHP scheduled the day of arrival plus HHN later in the week. :earseek:

Hi twotoohappy.......

Just wanted to wish you a great trip.........I just got back myself and had a great time.

The best to both you and your daughter on a happy and safe trip...

Yup CoasterAddict I think the majority here are MA people, and we're the one's whose Disney Stores are being taken away. It's just not fair.
What about a dismeet in MA? I'd be up for a trip to the Emerald Square Mall to visit their Disney store. PM me if anybody wants to get a meet going.
hey rickc77:wave: We are so looking forward to going! I'm glad you had a great time. Did you post a trip report? I love reading them. It gives me ideas on how to tweak my plans up a bit.
Have a great day everyone!:wave2:

Single WDW fan here! I take solo trips each year with the next one coming up November 20! As someone who is 39 and 372 days young, there is nothing like a vacation at Disney :0

I'm a single - over 30 - DIS'er, too. I took a solo trip to WDW in January 2003 and had a great time! Right now, I'm planning a nice, long trip back to the Mouse House in 2005 or 2006 (pending when I get Stateside again). I'm thinking 14 or 15 days to do everything I want to do at the pace that I want to do it in. Think I'll get lonely or bored for two weeks solo?

:) Wow, I'm very happy to see so many single solo's Disney fans out there! I really did not expect it. Nice of all of you to post.
Califlady, somehow I don't think you will find yourself bored or lonely at WDW after the responses I have seen on this thread. I do think though that you are one of the farthest away to answer so far. Keep us posted, I for one am interested in your trip report.

Well, I fit into the nearly 50 category but was raised a "Disney Child".....still have a photograph of myself at 3 yrs.....mouse ears on in my little rocking chair watching the Mickey Mouse Club.

I began traveling to WDW alone when I worked as a travel professional and now I go 2 or 3 times a year...long weekends....simply to find my smile.

WDW is a safe place to travel alone, filled with opportunities to make people smile and I just go to recharge my batteries.

The best......the first time you drive under the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign and you have the entire trip ahead......OR......the first time you see the Castle after you arrive.

Many friends simply don't understand the "addiction" but who cannot just love a place dedicated to making you happy!

I am staying at the Beach Club for the first time - arriving in 42 days......cheating on my favorite Wilderness Lodge which is my second home.

princess: ::yes::

I am probably the oldest to reply but I am 59 and I just love Disney. I have been two times in 2003 but with family. My husband passed away in January and I have hesitated going by myself but you all make it seem like you can still have a lot of fun solo. My favorite place to stay is Wilderness Lodge. I think I am ready to plan a trip next year solo. These boards are great!

I also am single and male and in my late 40's though no one believes me when I tell them how old I am. I am sure that my Disney obsession is part of the reason that I am still so young.
I have not gone solo for a whole trip yet, I have always gone with friends, but during the last trip it got to be too much to be with one of my friends that I struck out on my own and found that I was having a blast!!! I am now planning my own trip and want to stay in either AKL or WL. I saw the Wilderness Lodge last trip when we ate at Artist Point, and was enthralled! I got there early and fell asleep in one of the big chairs in the lobby!! I am planning a trip for the spring!::MickeyMo

I am a single Disney fan - over the specified age, but young at heart (most of the time!) I just discovered this Forum and hope to learn how to make some solo trips. I have always traveled in groups before and it has proven difficult to find people who want to share Disney. I am looking forward to some exciting new adventures.

Happy trips for everyone!

:boat:

Hi, TX
I know what you mean about finding people to share Disney...I finally decided that enough was enough. I needed a vacation and it was going to involve WDW. By the time I got finished planning I had booked a three-week trip (land only) in Jan. '04, a three week trip (land/sea/land) in May '04, and a three-week trip(land/sea/land) in Dec. '04. There, that ought to make up for the looong drought! The single supplement on the sea portions is a killer but, it's only plastic, right?
Lots of adventures in store for me! Good luck on your adventures!!!

Single 24yo male here. I guess, like the rest of the guys on this thread, I'm in the minority. Taking my first solo trip to the world in December...can't wait, but at the same time, very nervous about being alone for so long..lol.

:wave2: Hi everyone:
It's nice to know there are others like myself who occassionally venture out on our own to have fun. I confess though that I have not yet gone to WDW without my older sister. She is as much of a fan as anyone and she would be terribly upset if I went without her.;)
If not for her, I wouldn't be on the dis boards even. She got me started and now I am hooked! :D
Thanks to all for your responses.

I haven't gone to WDW solo yet, because my daughter won't let me. But I am in the single bracket, past the 30 mark...except in WDW where I become 4.

It's nice seeing so many singles in love with Disney. Too bad there isn't a singles meeting place at WDW. I could be very popular.
