Are you a shy poster??

I was just wondering if I was the only one who was a bit shy when it comes to the community board.

Sometimes I will want to reply to a post, I will even type it out, but then I delete it. For instance, I read the Ahnold debate and I all could think was, "Arnold is 57 years old?" I wanted to post that, but I just couldn't.

Of course, I'm glad we're not all like that, otherwise this board wouldn't exist.

I generally don't have problems replying in other areas of the boards--Resorts/budget boards/Theme parks...most just the community board.

Am I the only one?? Don't be shy to post here. But maybe if no one at all posts here, I will know for sure that I'm not the only one, because the others are WAAAAY to shy to post.

Welcome to the community board and taking the time to post here. The community board is a place where everyone is able to just come and chat about almost anything. There are many different topics to choose from, so when and if you feel comfortable, please join us.

I don't post to a lot of stuff, even when I think that I would like to. Sometimes it is just not worth it.

Just jump right in there and start posting. You will soon find that you are not so shy anymore.

Nope not at all this is a place to tell people your opinions on issues etc and I am glad we can even if our opinions are not always the same that makes it more fun.

I am too. Especially when it has to do with certian topics that seem to cause a lot of controversy. I guess I just don't want to get in the middle of it. (Politics, Religion, etc.)

I like the term "lurker" better than shy, though. It's more mysterious!

I don't post too often either. Sometimes it's just because I feel someone else posted what I would have said, sometimes I feel like it's not that important for me to add my two cents, and sometimes I just like to read them. Rest assured, I do read them though and am always talking about the things I learn here to my family. They, of course, think I am nuts....

Shy? I will post just about anything about anything, some say too much, LOL. I enjoy jabbering, just like RL I guess. It's fine to be more a listener, a reader too, whatever you are comfortable with. I once said what's most important is your first post, the one that makes you register here, get involved to some degree. Just go at what makes you happy. Nice seeing you here, Dana, and the other folks too, who say they are a bit shy.

I'm shy too. Or maybe the word is sensitive...I don't post on controversial subjects because of the way some people lambaste you and I'm not sure I could take the sarcasm or insults. I do post on other boards if I think I can help with a question but as you've noticed from the number of posts and they year I joined DIS, you'll see I'm mostly a lurker...

I really do enjoy reading everything though and sometimes I have a strong opinion but - again - couldn't bear the ridicule.
