Are you a hand sanitizer?

Just a soap and water hand washer here. I hate that sanitizer stuff!! I do carry wrapped hand wipes in my purse in case we encounter something sticky like candy or soda....but not for germ warfare.

Working in a lab with bacteria all day, I wash my hands a lot. When I don't have access to soap and water, though, I'm a hand sanitizer girl.

Oh, and just FYI, the alcohol-based hand sanitizers do not create resistant super-bugs. The only sanitizers that do that are the ones with actual antibacterial agents (like triclosan).

At home, no, I don't worry about it. When going somewhere like WDW where there are lots of people and many have all kinds of germs and contagious stuff and touching the same safety bars and door handles and so forth, hand sanitizer helps me have a better vacation by not getting their illnesses.

I take a multi-vitamin and wash my hands periodically throughout the day. I do stay away from touching the handles, railings and bars as much as I can. That's all.

We wash our hands frequently, and I carry individually wrapped hand wipes for when we are out in public and a rest room isn't handy. That extra scrub can't hurt!
