Are you a Disney shareholder?

I just opened a sharebuilder account because I can get a Costco $70 cash card after the first trade. So I was thinking (just because and not necessarily because it's the best choice) of buying a few shares of Disney stock.

I am not, but my kids have 100 shares each, or maybe 50.... they were a gift.

Does my OneShare that my DH bought me for Christmas count?

I am a shareholder. I have some of my dd's account in Disney stock and actually I am pretty happy with how they did last year.

I told my dfi I should have bought some when they were $25 share a while back.

My kids each have one share.
I just can't ever decide how to spend our $ .21 dividend each year!

We are Disney shareholders and both kids have stock, too. I keep saying I am going to get my certificate framed but never do!

Yes, we are Disney shareholders and were Pixar shareholders also. Now its all Disney. We have one share framed with a MGM/Mickey cel below it.

I've been accumulating DIS shares for quite some time. You should have jumped in when it was around $15/share back 4-5 years ago. I know...coulda, woulda, shouda...

We also have one of the Oneshares framed hanging in DD's room. She said she was keeping the checks as well for framing or scrapping.

I bought about $750 worth a few years back for each of my kids. Would have done better with a passbook savings account.

The funny thing is my Disneyland Paris shares. At DLP, you get a discount on tickets, plus access to a private lounge, if you are a shareholder. A few years ago, there was no minimum amount you had to buy to get the benefits, so I bought 10 shares...I think they cost about $12, plus the cost of the trade. Well the value has really gone down, and now I think my shares are worth $1.11. So no way am I going to pay a commission to sell them. Well, each year I get all kinds of annual reports, etc. Everytime they mail me something it costs about $2.50. The postage for each mailing is over twice the value of my entire investment.:rotfl:

I'm a shareholder. Only a few but it was my first stock purchase ever. I also bought my DBF a framed share from oneshare.com

My friend has been buying Disney stock since we we were 13 or so (13yrs ago). Her dad took her babysitting money and invested it.

Yes, we are.

My DD's are now also, as they each got some Disney stock for Christmas from my parents. :cool1: They think it's the greatest thing!

I have over 500 shares. I have been having an automatic purchase of $100 per month for many years, as well as automatic dividend reinvestment. Also, since the money from my Disney World part time job is not significant, I have 20% of every pay check withheld for stock purchase.

We have about 300 shares...bought around 5-6 years ago...some are my son and daughers that we gave them as a gift.

Actually - yes I am. Bought most of mine between $18-$25 per share, so I am quite pleased with the past year!
