Or guy? :)

In other words, do you use a lot of gift bags to put gifts in, or are you wrapping-paper-only? I bought a big bunch of bags from Target tonight, different sizes, and they're good for my too-hard-to-wrap stuff, but I still like to wrap boxes and stuff in wrapping paper too!

OR, do you wrap AND put them in bags? I guess the possibilities are endless. :) If I put a gift in a bag, I usually don't wrap it too.

So what do you do?

I try to bag as much as I can.

I'm not much of a rapper. I always mess it up and it looks so lumpy and misshaped. And I tend to go overboard with the tape.

My fiancee usually does all of my rapping. Though, it seems she has been leaning toward using gift bags.;)

If its just a box, i will wrap it..anything that is shaped differently that would make it harder to wrap, i bag it

I try to wrap everything and only use a bag for items that are virtually impossible to wrap. I just like the look of wrapped presents under the tree.

I am a wrapper, definately. I will usually wrap as I buy and then store them in my camper so the kids have now idea where to look.

But anyhow, I guess I'm like others on here. If there is something that is too odd to wrap I will throw it in a bag. As my kids were growing up I would usually get them a big stuffed animal that I would put in a bag. Otherwise everything else gets wrapped.

I think things in a bag just aren't as exciting as something that you get to unwrap. I mean, you get the bag, take the paper off the top and BOOM there's you're gift. But with a box, you pick it up, shake it, try to guess, then unwrap the paper THEN open the box and there's you're gift.

Maybe it's just me.

I almost always wrap. The *only* time I bag is if the gift is so odd shaped that I can't get the paper on it without a lot of frustration. I just bought that Hallmark snowman item from the commercials where you press a button and it sings a song--that'll probably be my only bagged item this year.

I think I'm among the last wrappers at birthday parties for kids. Most people bring bags, and I still wrap birthday presents. I think it's more fun for a kid to unwrap a present vs. pull it out of a bag. :goodvibes

I am going to become one once I go through all the wrapping paper I have. I usually gbuy wrapping paper from kids selling for school fundraisers, but I am going to start buying gift bags now. I am hoping that this Christmas will be the last one of wrapping paper. I think gift bags are a better choice, as they are re-usable, so they save money and the environment a bit.

I do both. I usually wrap gifts for family, but I will gift bag gifts I am taking places only because its easier to carry them and its easier for the giftee to carry the package home.

My wife is definately a bag lady. She also likes to uses bags when she gives presents :rotfl:

I try to bag most everything I possible can. But thats just me. And I am also a re-bagger at that. I re-use bags when I am able to.

I do a little of both. While I love to wrap I don't especially like wrapping the odd shapped stuff. That is so much easier to put in a bag and make a fancy little bow to go along with it.

I do usually like to wrap. I like to uses bows, ribbons and pretty tags
as well. There is nothing more fun then getting a beautifully wrapped
gift to me. I do use bags on occassion if it is a gift that is odd shaped.
If I have alot of small gifts for someone I wrap them all pretty and then
place them in a bag to keep them together.

Stocking stuffers have to be wrapped as well in my house.
Not w/ all the fancies though.

My DM is a bag lady. Once we all moved out she gave up wrapping! :rotfl: We used to have to wrap each other's gifts.
She always forgets to buy new stuff so after we empty the bags we give them back and she sticks them in her closet for another year. So since she has already written on the card we get the same bags year after year. DM's a great recycler!! :rotfl2:

Oh and she could never remember to buy gift wrap. There was one Christmas when we were all grown and the only grandbaby was tiny that we got all our presents in Hanukah wrap. Apparently it was 50% off at Acme and DM couldn't pass up a bargain (on Christmas Eve!). :lmao:
After that Christmas - all bags! One year Ziploc came out with large opaque bags with Christmas designs on them. Poor DM was so upset when they didn't come out the next year. :sad2: She didn't even have to use tissue paper. :rotfl:

Aren't you scared that you'll give the re-bagged bag to the original gift-giver? :rolleyes1

I sometimes think of that, but usually not until I handing it to them, when it's too late.
