The hubby and I just decided to plan a last minute trip to WDM from May 31 - June 8 and plan on getting the dining plan. Is it too late in the game to get decent reservations for the table service restaurants?

The last time we visited WDM was Sept. 2009 and we made our reservations at 6:00 am the morning our window opened. I wish we would have decided to take this trip about 3 months ago! Any tips, suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I did tons of research on the restaurants last time and haven't even started this time. Let me know what you recommend for a family of 5 (children 7,6 and 3) plus grandma and grandpa!

If u already booked u can search the dining site to see if there are still good restaurants and times available.. Then u would know for sure.

Normally I would say that if you're willing to be flexible, you'll still be able to get TS ADRs. My family made several changes to our dining schedules while on the trip and we were able to get day of or day before ADRs. Now you're party is pretty big (7 people), so that will make things harder.

I would start looking on the Disney site to see what comes up as available. Then keep checking to see if better places or times open up.

At this point I would just go online at WDW and see what is available for each day you will be there, pick one and get something booked right away. You can always keep checking later if something comes up that you really want. The menus are at www.allears.net. There will always be someplace good open but just may not be the most popular. Good luck on the dining!

I find reservations a bit easier since they started the $10 penalty per person for no shows - good luck :goodvibes

I just randomly plugged in June 6th at 6pm for dinner for 4 at Magic Kingdom to see what came up, and Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree, The Plaza and Tony's all came up with times between 5-7pm.

I changed it to Epcot and got 16 restaurants with availability during dinner hours. I think you'll be okay, there's a lot to pick from.

As long as you are flexible with your times and choices, I think you will be fine. Start by checking out the online dining reservation system to see what is available.

We decided on a Presidents Day week trip just after Christmas, and I was able to get all of the ADRs that I wanted, but I just had to be flexible with the date and time. I was even able to get ADRs for two character meals!

Keep checking the online reservation system as your trip gets closer, because new dates and times may open up!

Good luck and have a magical trip!

There are plenty of great places, just look online. I want to go in mid May for a few days and have not even looked at dining reservations yet.

I think you're still good, as long as you're willing to be flexible. Some of your fav's ma y only be available for lunch, but I wouldn't let that ruin your trip! I'm going May 9-18, and I'm STILL working on some of my ADR's!!!

Like others said, I would just go online and see what's available. I bet there are plenty of good restaurants and times to choose from.

Keep in mind, a lot of the more popular places have greater availability than they used to. Disney's new $10-charge-if-you-don't-show-up has kept many of the double-bookers away.

But even before they put that in place, we were able to find a good amount of places to eat before our last trip, which we didn't decide to book until 3 weeks before! Even Le Cellier lunch! As long as you don't have your heart set on a particular place and time, you'll be fine. Go in with the mindset of "finding something we'll like at Epcot around a normal dinner time" as opposed to "must get Coral Reef at 6:30" and you'll be golden. :thumbsup2
